Although they came to gather information the normal way, that doesn’t mean they intended to go door to door and question the people. They knew it would take more than that to find what they were looking for.

Luckily, they had someone who could help them get the information they needed without much struggle.

After booking a table, Pandora used her superior senses to find the owner, who was, surprisingly, a True God. Thanks to his weak cultivation method, Zaila was summoned and, using her insidious mental abilities, she entered the man’s head and compelled him to talk to them.

A few minutes after she was done, a man clad in a wavy cloak approached their table.

"Sorry, Fairies, I didn’t know such beauties as yourselves would be gracing this humble Inn with your presence today," he bowed, causing many inside the Inn to wonder why such a dignified man, known all over this planet, would bow to these ladies.

On the side, Vexthra and her sisters turned and looked at Zaila, who blushed and hid her face.

They knew the only way such a man would lower himself to speak with them was if Zaila had done more than plant the idea that compelled him to come to them.

In truth, Zaila wanted to extract his memories because, to her, that was the most effective way to obtain their information. However, since extraction was more difficult than planting, they made her plant the idea instead.

Clearly, she had done more than that.

But that also worked in their favour.

"Uhm, hello, sir. If you don’t mind, can we go somewhere more private to have a discussion?" Vexthra, who over the years had developed great social skills, took the lead.

She had come a long way, and that showed just how much she wished to learn human emotions.

Nowadays, she was even the one teaching Pandora and the rest of her sisters, who didn’t have many social skills.

"But of course. Please follow me."

They left the ground floor and climbed upstairs.

"Who are these ladies? I have never seen them in this part of the world before."

"Same here. They don’t even look like they are from around here."

"Who cares what they look like? All I know is they are fine, and when beauties like this appear, Lord Justin is the man to talk to. Hehe, later, losers. I am going to score some Celestial Crystals."

He left, and many followed. They knew that if they reported the discovery of such beauties, they would earn some money they could use to drink, perhaps even support their families for who knows how long.

If only they knew...

After climbing upstairs, they settled in a room, and the man who had been manipulated went out of his way to serve them a drink before the meeting started.

"What would you like to know, ladies?"

Vexthra turned to Meiko, who gave her the go-ahead to speak... "There used to be a temple here. It is pretty old, perhaps older than you can imagine. Do you know what happened to it?"

The man narrowed his eyes, which told the ladies he knew something. Luckily for them, Zaila had made sure the man would answer whatever they asked, provided he had an answer.

"I know of the temple you speak of. It was here when I bought the place, and since I planned to build an Inn, I had to demolish it."

"Then do you know what happened to the original owners of that temple?"

"Sadly, no. It was practically demolished when I bought it."

Meiko’s fist clenched under the table; however, Ruby held her back, knowing the kind of unreasonable lady Meiko could be. Who knew what she would do to this innocent man?

Zaila leaned forward and asked, "I know you just bought the place, but you are a curious man. I can see it in your eyes and know someone like that cannot just buy a place without finding out something about the previous owners. So let’s just say you did and found something. Mind sharing what you found?"

Zaila retrieved a pouch and dropped it on the table. Perhaps to make it more dramatic, as in the movies, the pouch opened, and Celestial Crystals poured onto the table. ℴ

Zaila smiled like an accomplished third-rate villain and tapped the table with her finger, "There is more where that came from, my friend."

The man, whose mind was already being manipulated, smiled and collected the Celestial Crystals. Just one Celestial Crystal was enough to solve so many problems for him.

"Actually, there is something. But you will have to follow me."

He stored the pouch and stood up...

The ladies also did, and Vexthra, who never expected Zaila to bribe the man, used her shoulder to nudge her, "Where did you learn that from?"

"I saw it in Kent’s mind when he allowed me to see some of his Earth memories. I think they call them movies. There is so much more you can learn from those movies."

"I see. I guess I know what I will ask of him when he returns," Vexthra flashed a mysterious smile and followed after the rest of her sisters.

After a few minutes of descending to a new floor, they entered a room in the basement. The man moved quickly and moved a table from the center of the room. Lifting the carpet, a formation was revealed.

"This was here when I bought the place. I tried to decipher it but failed at every turn."

"Oh, this looks like a message array. If my array knowledge is as good as Alina’s, then I believe it requires blood to activate," Vexthra said, paying critical attention to the formation on the ground.

Meiko stepped forward, and with a flick of her hand, she drew blood.

Then she dropped it on the formation, causing it to flare.

From within the formation, a man with one missing arm and thousands of injuries on his skin, barely holding on to his life, appears.

Meiko’s eyes narrowed, and this time, the rest of her sisters also frowned.

The man caught his breath, then in a barely steady tone, he spoke, "If you are watching this, then know we are all dead..."
