Raising Yanderes to save the world

Chapter 184: Ch 183: All Efforts to Find Kael

"Ugh, this is all so stupid! I am almost there...just a little more...and I will find him..."

Sweat fell down Lyra’s brow as she tried her hardest to concentrate on the magic crystal in front of her. But no matter how much magic she poured into it, that darn thing refused to listen to her.

Something was blocking her, the Demon Queen, from being able to contact Kael, and that was getting on her nerves.

Her agitated magic shook the whole demon world, and everyone tried to run to a shelter to escape her wrath. But she did not seem to notice, being too busy trying to locate Kael, but to no avail.

"Miss Lyra, perhaps you should rest for a while. Your complexion does not look good. You might collapse at this rate."

Elena tried to make Lyra step away from the magic she was casting and rest, but Lyra just growled at her in an intimidating manner. It did not make Elena step back, but everyone around her flinched and quickly tried to get out of their queen’s way.

"Don’t say stupid things. I don’t have time for you to stop me. I am almost there. Just a little more, and I will find Kael-"

Lyra’s magic connected with Kael, and she let out a triumphant sound, only to be cut off and thrown back. She let out a hiss as she felt pain travel down her arm, causing it to bleed.

She clutched her injured arm and looked at the crystal in front of her with annoyed eyes.

"Queen Lyra, that is enough for today! Please, don’t get hurt anymore. No human is worth throwing your life away."

A blast almost took her advisor’s head off, but he was lucky that Lyra missed. But that only happened because she was too tired to aim properly.

"Don’t you...yawn...dare say that to me again. Who I choose to save and where I spend my power, only I can decide. If you try to tell me that again, then I will take your head. Do you understand?"

Lyra asked, and the advisor shrank back. He clearly had a lot to say, but he decided that there was no point in saying anything anymore to his master.

The tense atmosphere rose even higher as the demons quickly ran away to save their lives. Only then did Lyra let out a sigh of relief, and all the tension left her body.

"Lyra, I know these are tense times and all you want to do is help. But perhaps you have to consider other possibilities. Maybe we are not able to find Kael because he does not want to be found-"

"Don’t say those words. You don’t even believe them yourself. I can see it in your eyes—the desire to find Kael as soon as possible."

Elena fell quiet after those words. It was true that she wanted to find Kael as well, but neither time nor fate seemed to be on their side. It was almost as if Kael himself was telling them that there was no need to find him.

And yet, she could not back down. Elena knew that she could not give up on Kael...

"Let’s head to the Hero and that Saintess. If there is anyone who knows where Kael is, it will be those two. I will make them spill the truth, even if I have to shake it out of them."

Lyra promised as she stood up from her throne and grabbed her cloak.

Elena tried to tell her that they needed to inform someone before their departure, but then she decided against it. If they told anyone, the others would try to stop them.

And right now, she had no time to entertain anyone else.

When they reached Leon and the others, they were already deep in a conversation about Kael. Both Iris and Seraphina welcomed them with suspicious eyes, and Leon looked like he could not care less.

"Well, brats, I am here to grace you all with my presence. Now, let’s find Kael and bring that idiot back home."

Lyra spoke, putting her hand down on the table in an intimidating manner. And no one was able to tell her no.

The sound of two swords clashing against each other reached Kael’s ears, and he looked at the scene of the two people fighting in front of him with detached eyes.

Currently, Nathan and Emma were clashing their swords, and the impact caused small ripples of energy to cut through their surroundings.

But Kael had a barrier around him, protecting him from any harm. His tired eyes watched his siblings train with a detached expression.

To anyone else, this fast-paced sword fight might have looked impressive. But he had lived through a war. To him, it only brought back bad memories he wanted to forget.

"Both Emma and Nathan are good, right? I feel a little sad that our youngest is growing up so fast. He might become the youngest Sword Master at this rate. Of course, he won’t beat your record even if he does become one next year."

Adrian took a seat beside Kael as he spoke those words. Kael had sensed his presence long before he spoke, but he knew that it was only because Adrian had allowed him to.

"Is that so? Frankly, I feel like it’s a pity that people force themselves to master their skills at such a young age. It takes a lot away from their childhood."

Kael projected his modern thoughts when he spoke those words.

Once upon a time, he would not have found it odd to see children at the forefront of difficult disciplines because that was what society demanded of them. But after living through modern times, his perception had changed.

The mental illnesses that were often overlooked in this society because of the pressure to succeed at an early age were quite clear to him now.

Even in his family, he could confidently say that none of them had experienced a normal childhood. Their upbringing had shaped them all into sharp weapons hiding unspoken emotions.

Unfortunately, there was no solution to this problem because no one saw it as a problem in the first place. And Kael...had no intention of fighting that battle.
