Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 245: Ch 244: The Dragon’s Assult
"You puny human want to help me? I don’t believe you can do that! But if you are sure, then go ahead and try."
The dragon king gave Lumi the permission she needed, and that made her smile even wider. She was ready to perform her magic.
But since she had already gotten rid of the female dragon, there was no way she was going to bring her back. Instead, she was going to bring the replica she had constructed and present it to the dragon king.
She snapped her fingers, and a dragon made of her magic stepped forward. It was flawless, and there was no trace of her magic leaking from its body.
"Brother, I am back. I was attacked by that foolish army nearby and almost died, but this kind lady saved me and brought me back. I wish for you to reward her for saving my life."
The female dragon said in a firm voice, and it made the dragon emperor flinch. The imposter was using the same tone his sister used, and it even smelled like his sister. So the dragon emperor accepted the imposter as his sister and nodded.
"I see. That is concerning. In that case, it is my duty to listen to what your savior wants and grant it. Human, speak up! What is it that your heart desires?"
The dragon emperor asked, and Lumi did not hesitate to speak her mind.
"All I want is one thing, my lord. I want your help in fighting against corruption. It is running rampant, but no one in the human world seems to want to do anything about it. In fact, they are willing to be enchanted by it and give in to it."
Lumi presented her case in a dramatic manner. She already knew that the dragon emperor was weak against such displays, and she noticed how serious he looked even now. It was time to use her secret weapon.
"Look at these wounds that I suffered while saving your sister from those corrupt humans! Won’t you try and help us? They attacked and threatened your sister. It’s as good as smearing mud on your face."
The human was making it more dramatic than it needed to be. She did not need to do all this in the first place.
But she knew that it was working. The dragon emperor was getting angrier and angrier by the second, to the point where he decided to take a stance against the humans.
"The more I hear about these humans, the worse my impression of them gets. Should I just wipe them off the face of this earth?"
The dragon king asked in an angry voice, and he half expected his sister to be the voice of reason and smack him. But that did not happen.
Instead, she turned toward him with a determined look in her eyes and spoke.
"Brother, I agree with you. These humans have gone too far, and they need to be stopped. I will stand behind you if you decide to attack them."
That was as good a confirmation as the dragon king was going to get from his sister. But something did not seem right.
His sister would never advocate for him to attack the humans! She was firmly against it...unless...
’Did that attack scare her so much that she changed her core beliefs? I don’t like it!’
His sister was not behaving like herself.
Lumi noticed his expression and flinched at the near mistake she had made. She quickly adjusted her magic to change her puppet’s personality.
"What I mean to say is that these humans are disgusting. Not only are they willing to attack us, but they also cause harm to the environment. Just thinking about it enrages me. I don’t usually advocate attacking humans, but these ones are a problem. They are corrupted."
The dragon emperor nodded this time in agreement. He was not happy with the humans either, and he understood his sister’s anger. He was also annoyed by the fact that these humans were starting to think so highly of themselves.
Moreover, he was the dragon emperor with unparalleled senses. If his instincts were telling him that the person standing beside him was his sister, then she was his sister, and he did not need to question it.
"I, the dragon emperor, have heard your request and made a decision. I will march toward the human settlement and resolve the matter of their interference once and for all. So there is no need to panic anymore, my dear friends!"
He declared, and the other dragons let out a roar.
He half expected his sister to finally speak up, but she just watched him from the shadows with a creepy look on her face. Something about her was...not right...
But maybe he was mistaken? After all, his instincts could not be wrong. And they were not picking up anything suspicious.
...
"We should head toward the dragon caves. Will you show us the way?"
Kael asked the cursed dragon in his grasp, and the tiny thing flapped her wings to show that she would.
"I wouldn’t normally dare show a human my secret passage. But I might as well show you since you are special and you saved me. Besides, you will need it if you want to come and talk with my brother often."
The female dragon nodded, and she quickly guided Kael and the others. But they had not gone too far when they noticed movement in the sky.
A large number of dragons were flying out of the dragon den and heading toward the human settlement. The air around them felt tense.
"Huh? Did something happen? This does not look good."
Seraphina pointed out while looking up, and everyone else nodded as well.
The dragon in Kael’s grasp instantly became serious and replied.
"I think the dragons are going to attack the settlement. This is an offensive formation...but it’s weird. I’m the one who usually leads this kind of attack... So who is leading it this time? Did the dragon emperor find my replacement already?"
