Raising Yanderes to save the world
Chapter 380: The Garden of God - Part 3
After the ground swallowed those unfortunate souls as sacrifices, the sun started to rise once more. And the souls that had hidden in the pavilion finally made their way out.
There was not an inch of worry or fear on their expressions. In fact, what had just happened had been forgotten by these souls. And even those who had lost their companions quickly found new ones to fill the place they had left behind.
Anger, sorrow, remembrance, these concepts did not seem to exist in this hollow space that felt like the divine garden.
‘Do I truly not have any other way to get out other than to wait for that god to come back?’
Kael did not want to stay here any longer. But he had already searched this whole place using his body as well as his magic and had not found a way out.
Finding that figure clad in white was his only option now.
So he waited for the dawn to come once more, and he waited with patience.
It almost felt like a whole week had passed before he noticed the changes in the crowd. They started to gather and bow, just like they had the first time the white-clad figure walked through.
So Kael followed them.
But this time, he made sure to wrap stronger magic around himself in order to not fall prey to that spell of binding.
He watched as the white-clad person walked through the people, but there was just a hint of red in his clothes. A few red ribbons had been added to the attire, but instead of looking beautiful, they looked eerie.
Kael waited for the figure to walk past him before he allowed his magic to interact with the white-clad person.
He wanted to bind the other person in chains and drag him down. But a few guards suddenly became visible, and they started to yank at Kael’s chains in order to cut them off.
It made Kael panic, and he increased his magic to capture these guards as well.
They resisted, but the white-clad person did not stop to even think about what was happening. He continued to walk until Kael’s chain finally snapped around his ankle, pulling him back.
As soon as that white-clad individual stopped walking, mass panic ensued among the souls, and they rushed towards the pavilion.
Kael realised that he had made a mistake as well, and he dropped his magic and rushed towards the pavilion to follow these souls.
And he watched as the ground started to split apart, causing almost half of the people to fall into the crack.
The white on the unknown person’s clothes started to turn redder, indicating that it was swallowing the life and blood around him.
Kael’s magic that he had left behind was also devoured by that person in white, showing him that it was useless for him to try this approach.
‘Tsk, I will have to think of something else next time.’
Kael let out a sigh as he watched the person in white stand up and finally disappear beyond the garden walls.
Whoever he was, he was clearly a part of this system. But Kael had no idea what he wanted from these souls.
Once again, the sun started to rise. But this time, the garden had changed. Flowers started to bloom all around them, causing the air to turn even fresher and brighter.
The whole world seemed to be singing, but the tune they were singing felt gloomy to Kael.
It was time to wait for the person clad in white and red to come back, but this time, the wait lasted even longer.
And Kael had a feeling this would be his last shot at being able to get out of this place.
So he waited in ambush while laying out traps all over.
It was a boring and arduous wait which left him feeling like he was losing his mind.
The other souls around him looked happy and free of any worry. But that was because they had no worries to begin with. Their minds were empty as they played around.
Kael knew that his plan would put them all in danger. Most of them would likely lose their lives and their essence.
But the sense of guilt he was supposed to feel did not come. Instead, he continued to feel like he was the right person for this kind of job.
After what felt like forever, the same reaction of people bowing was seen, and Noah followed them as well.
He watched as the souls around him bowed out of respect and the white figure walked around with significantly more red compared to before.
But this time, it looked around, likely trying to find the person who had attacked him before.
Noah kept his head down for now, and as soon as the thing clad in white stepped on his tile, he used his magic to capture that being.
His magic exploded, capturing not only that being in white, but the other souls and the invisible protectors as well.
Now he just needed to get some answers out of the white-clad figure.
He had woven ties to the walls which would prevent anyone from being able to fall down, and that included himself.
He walked towards the white-clad being and watched as the ground split. But it was of no use.
No one was falling down towards their inevitable deaths.
“I am afraid that it is useless to try and protest now. It is time for you to accept that you have been defeated.”
Noah told the white-clad figure, and it looked at Noah suddenly. Its eyes were sharp and filled with hostility, but Noah did not care. He was simply here to find out the truth behind what was happening.
The white-clad figure remained silent, staring at Noah with an expression that contained no emotion other than hostility. Noah narrowed his eyes, waiting patiently for an answer.
But there was none.
