Chapter 1526: Don’t Want Outsiders Disturbing Us

The person who pushed the door open was dressed as a waiter, but he wasn’t the waiter responsible for their room. He was holding a kettle of hot water, seemingly coming to pour water for them.

"Sorry to disturb you."

The waiter, holding the kettle with both hands, walked towards the four of them with a polite smile that a waiter should have.

Anthony spoke to stop the waiter from pouring water, his tone not very friendly, "We’re discussing something, could you please leave for a moment."

Yet the waiter acted as if he hadn’t heard and continued walking towards them.

Benjamin Shaw, unfamiliar with Anthony, heard his manner of speaking to the waiter and slightly frowned in disapproval. "It’s part of their job, just pouring some water, it won’t take more than a few minutes."

He thought the other was afraid of wasting time, kindly reminding him that it was merely the waiter’s job.

However, Alice Turner thought differently. She put away her phone, stood up from her seat, and walked towards the waiter without any pause.

"Give me the kettle, we can pour it ourselves." Without waiting for the waiter to respond, she directly reached for the kettle in the waiter’s hand. More accurately, she snatched it.

Seeing this, Benjamin Shaw’s frown deepened. What are these two people up to? Why are they giving the waiter such a hard time?

"Sis! Be careful, it’s hot."

Watching Alice rise to snatch the kettle from the waiter’s hand, Anthony loudly reminded her, employing a tone of concern that only Alice could understand.

"I know, just sit tight, you don’t have to worry about me." While speaking to Anthony, Alice didn’t stop her actions. She seized the kettle from the waiter’s hand when he was momentarily distracted.

After snatching the kettle, she didn’t immediately return to her seat. Instead, she glared fiercely at the waiter, "Please leave for now, we’re discussing something important and don’t want outsiders interrupting."

Upon hearing Anthony suddenly urging the waiter to leave earlier, Alice already sensed something amiss with this waiter. As she walked over to seize the kettle, she was entirely sure the waiter was suspicious.

Female waiters at the restaurant all wore light makeup, but this waiter hadn’t even traced his eyebrows, and his lips were devoid of any lipstick.

As she snatched the kettle, she felt the strength in the waiter’s hands. If it weren’t for the waiter getting distracted, she wouldn’t have been able to snatch it.

Even at the moment the waiter was distracted, it was still quite difficult to snatch it away.

The ’waiter,’ realizing that his identity might have been discovered by the others, no longer stayed in the room. He slightly bowed and said, "Sorry to disturb you all."

After speaking, the ’waiter’ quickly turned around and left.

Alice Turner kept her eyes on the ’waiter’ from start to finish, and only when the ’waiter’ walked out of the room and the door closed did she turn around and return to the table with the kettle.

"You all continue your discussion, I’m going to the restroom." Alice placed the kettle on the table and swiftly headed out of the room. Her hurried figure seemed very urgent.

Among the three, only Anthony knew what Alice was actually going to do. He reminded her worriedly as she departed, "Sis! Be careful."

"Hurry up and sign the contract, don’t worry about me." Alice waved her hand toward Anthony with her back turned and exited the room.
