Anthony is worried, but he still has confidence in Alice Turner’s skills, especially since that ’waiter’ just now wasn’t particularly skilled. She can easily deal with that person.

"Mr. Shaw! If you think there’s no issue, let’s sign the contract." The sooner it’s signed, the sooner he can deal with those bastards with peace of mind.

"Let’s wait for Alice to come back before signing." Benjamin Shaw looked thoughtfully at the doorway of the private room before slowly turning back to Anthony.

His attitude was resolute; he wanted to wait for Alice to return.

Ex-husband! Are you purposely making things difficult for me or what?

Purposely making things difficult for me, which basically means you’re intentionally making things difficult for my sister. Doing this will only make her hate you more.

Anthony rolled his eyes internally at Benjamin Shaw multiple times. If he wasn’t worried about saying something that would make things difficult for Alice, he would definitely snap back.

"My sister has handed this matter over to me to handle entirely, so you don’t need to waste time waiting for her. She might not be able to return for a while." Anthony’s expression was very serious, and his tone was particularly earnest; at this moment, you couldn’t see a trace of his usual swagger.

Benjamin Shaw wasn’t blind; Alice had been looking at her phone all along, without saying a word, not even raising her head.

He knew why she didn’t participate; it was simply that she didn’t want any entanglement with him.

She didn’t want any entanglement with him, but he wanted entanglement with her, and deeply entangled.

"Just going to the bathroom; she’s a grown-up, it’s not like she could fall into the toilet." This sounded like a joke, but if you listened carefully, you’d catch the hidden emotions.

He was expressing dissatisfaction with her behavior; her distant, cold attitude made him more displeased.

Benjamin Shaw glanced at Anthony and suddenly stood up, "I’m going to the restroom too."

With that, not waiting for a response, he left his seat and strode out to the restroom.

At this moment, Alice Turner ran upstairs; after chasing downstairs earlier, she hadn’t found that suspicious ’waiter.’

She thought that the suspicious ’waiter’ must still be upstairs, likely hiding in some corner now.

Most private rooms were occupied with dining guests; she couldn’t search one room after another, so she could only look in the hallway for the most likely hiding spot for the ’waiter.’

When Benjamin Shaw walked out of the private room, he saw Alice Turner looking around the hallway. Wasn’t she supposed to be in the restroom? Why was she now searching the hallway?

She seemed to be searching for something, had she run into someone she knew just now?

Alice Turner was completely focused on looking for the ’waiter,’ and didn’t notice Benjamin Shaw coming out of the private room. When she did notice, he was already blocking her way.

"You..."

"What are you looking for?"

Not giving Alice Turner a chance to be surprised, Benjamin Shaw directly asked the question clouding his mind.

Suddenly being blocked by Benjamin Shaw, Alice Turner was quite surprised, but she quickly returned to normal, "I’m not looking for anything. I just came out of the restroom and was heading back to the private room. What about you? Why did you come out?"

Some things shouldn’t be known to him—or, to be precise, to anyone.

"You just came out of the restroom?" Benjamin Shaw glanced in the direction of the restroom. The place where the restroom was located wasn’t in the direction she had come from at all; her lie was pretty poor.
