The newly awakened Benjamin Shaw looked extremely weak, which pained Isla Lane deeply. She leaned over to closely observe her son, "Son! Is it very painful?"

Seeing her son injured like this, she suddenly regretted constantly scolding him before.

At that moment, she vowed in her heart to treat her son well in the future and never scold him again.

However, Benjamin’s gaze drifted past Isla Lane and landed on Alice Turner, who was standing behind her. His pale lips moved, "Are you okay?"

Due to his weakness, his voice was not loud, but it was still audible to everyone, especially her.

"I’m fine, thank you for saving me."

Alice Turner took a step forward, getting closer to Benjamin Shaw on the bed. She just wanted to thank him up close.

Despite being directly ignored by her son, Isla Lane wasn’t angry at all. She straightened up and moved aside, pulling Alice Turner closer to the bed, bringing Alice nearer to her son.

If she wasn’t afraid of accidentally touching her son’s wound, she would have pushed this girl right into her son’s arms.

"We’re family, no need to say thank you. Saving you was a duty for little Ben." Isla Lane said this loudly, and as she spoke, she turned to glance at Thomas Fisher standing behind.

The implication was obvious: as an outsider, you should leave quickly and not disturb our family reunion.

Thomas Fisher understood the message in Isla Lane’s gaze, and his expression darkened slightly, but he remained silent.

He felt suffocated with frustration, but he knew the right time and place, so he quietly looked away, directing his gaze at Benjamin Shaw on the bed.

Benjamin seemed to sense Thomas Fisher’s gaze and looked up at him, "Thomas! Why did you come too?"

As soon as he asked, he realized it was a redundant question, almost knowingly asking.

"I heard from Alice that you got hurt saving her, so I rushed over," Thomas Fisher said as he also moved closer to the bed, standing beside Alice Turner, shoulder to shoulder with her.

He paused, then continued, "Third Brother! Thank you for saving Alice; this kindness will remain in our hearts forever."

"Little Ben saved Alice..."

Isla Lane wanted to speak up for her son, but she was pulled aside by Alexander Shaw just as she started.

When Isla Lane looked over with dissatisfaction, Alexander Shaw immediately spoke, giving her a meaningful look, hoping she wouldn’t say anything inappropriate, "Our son’s injury is so serious; what’s most important now is for him to get some rest and recover as soon as possible."

Isla Lane really wanted to chase away the bothersome Thomas Fisher, but hearing Alexander Shaw say this, she realized that prioritizing her son’s injury was more important.

She could figure out how to get rid of that nuisance later.

"At that time, I didn’t choose to save someone just so you would thank me. You shouldn’t dwell on it." Benjamin said. The situation was so urgent then, he didn’t have time to think about much. In that moment, he just didn’t want that woman to get hurt.

Seeing Alice Turner standing safely in front of him, Benjamin Shaw’s heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled. Seeing she no longer treated him coldly, he felt that taking the stab was worth it.

Alice Turner was about to thank Benjamin Shaw again, but when the words were on her lips, she felt they were too light compared to his injuries.

"Exactly, family doesn’t say thank you," Isla Lane said, reaching out to pull Alice Turner from Thomas Fisher’s side to hers.
