Chapter 1584: You’re Not with Alice Right Now?

Once again interrupted by Anthony’s sudden outburst, Charlotte Shaw started to think seriously. After pondering for a while, she spoke up again.

"Don’t you know about Benjamin being injured and hospitalized? Didn’t Alice tell you?" The answer was no, and she was certain of that answer.

"Are you saying Alice knows about Benjamin being injured and hospitalized? How exactly did Benjamin get hurt? Is it related to Alice?" Anthony had a strong premonition, a feeling that Benjamin’s injury was somehow connected to him, and he quietly waited for the person on the other end of the phone to confirm his suspicion.

Charlotte Shaw instinctively nodded, but as soon as she nodded, she realized she was on a call, and the person on the other end couldn’t see her.

"At noon, Benjamin went to the hotel to find Alice, only to see a woman with a knife stabbing Alice. Benjamin rushed to save her, but the woman stabbed Benjamin in the stomach." She briefly explained the situation, emphasizing the process and reasons behind her brother’s injury.

Although Charlotte Shaw’s explanation was simple, Anthony understood clearly what had happened; there was no need to ask who the woman was—it was the waiter from lunchtime.

The woman hadn’t succeeded at the restaurant, so she went to the hotel to find him; by then, he and Thomas Fisher had left the hotel.

Unable to find him, the woman naturally went to look for Alice, knowing full well Alice wouldn’t reveal anything.

The woman, unable to get information about him, became both angry and anxious, but taking a knife...

The thought of the woman using a knife to stab Alice Turner ignited a fury within Anthony, his eyes momentarily flashing with a savage light.

That woman was simply reckless!

"Anthony! Anthony! Are you listening to me?"

Not hearing Anthony’s response for a long time, Charlotte Shaw became puzzled and gently called out his name on the phone.

Upon hearing Charlotte’s voice once more, Anthony immediately gathered his thoughts and emotions, quickly responding, "Charlotte! I’m listening, can you tell me which hospital Benjamin is in?"

Because Benjamin was implicated due to his own issues, he knew he had to visit him.

Charlotte Shaw provided Anthony with the address of the hospital where Benjamin Shaw was staying, acting not entirely out of impartial reasoning, driven somewhat by personal motives.

She wanted Anthony, who had always supported and helped her brother, to be aware and continue assisting him in getting back together with Alice.

"Are you not with Alice right now?" Charlotte asked, suppressing her voice.

Anthony instinctively glanced in the direction of the room, softly responded with an "Hmm," and didn’t say much more.

"Oh."

Charlotte Shaw didn’t really know what the situation was like for Anthony. Hearing him say he wasn’t with Alice, she responded with a somewhat disappointed "oh."

Across the phone, Anthony sensed Charlotte Shaw’s disappointment, but he refrained from commenting on it, "Charlotte! Let’s leave it at that, see you later."

"Okay, see you later!"

Upon hearing Anthony say later, Charlotte Shaw’s spirits lifted, and she enthusiastically responded, then hung up the phone.

After hanging up, she didn’t immediately return to the ward; instead, she walked over to the nearby nurse’s station.

"Ms. Shaw! What’s the matter? Is Mr. Shaw..."

"My brother is fine."

Seeing Charlotte Shaw come over, the nurse assumed something sudden had happened with Benjamin Shaw, but Charlotte interrupted the nurse’s conjecture.
