Chapter 1585: No One Dares to Make a Definite Conclusion Now

When Charlotte Shaw returned to the hospital room, Benjamin Shaw was still asleep, undisturbed by the noise of her coming and going.

Tiptoeing to the bedside, she placed the phone back where it originally was, then went over to sit on the sofa.

She was browsing through her WeChat friends’ feed on her phone while waiting for Anthony to arrive.

About an hour later, Anthony appeared at the doorway of the hospital room, prompting Charlotte Shaw to immediately put away her phone and get up to greet her ’invited’ guest.

"Tony! Why did you bring so many things?" Charlotte Shaw asked as she bent down to help Anthony carry the items. When she stood up with the things, she glanced behind Anthony but didn’t see the figure of Alice Turner.

"Compared to the injuries your ex-husband sustained, these things are hardly worth mentioning."

Anthony was too focused on glancing at the hospital bed to notice Charlotte Shaw’s subtle movements.

He divided some things in his hands with her, and then they both walked in together. He rushed toward the person on the hospital bed, not having the time to set the items down.

Seeing Benjamin Shaw still asleep, his actions instinctively became much lighter.

Charlotte Shaw placed the items she was holding in an empty space by the bed, and then reached out to take the things from Anthony’s hands and set them down. Only then did she move a chair over, gesturing for Anthony to sit down.

Anthony wasn’t in the mood to sit, seeing the pale-faced Benjamin Shaw on the hospital bed, a heavy feeling suddenly weighed on his heart, "Is the injury really serious?"

"It might still affect his normal life? Didn’t the doctor perform surgery?" Anthony wasn’t questioning Charlotte Shaw’s words; rather, he was worried about Benjamin Shaw’s injury.

The woman was so ruthless, he was determined to make her pay a hundred times over than this.

Charlotte Shaw didn’t know Anthony was thinking this way. Hearing his question, she thought he was doubting her words, a tinge of guilt flashed in her eyes.

She did overstate it a bit earlier, but thinking about how seriously her brother was injured gave her confidence again.

"The doctor did perform the surgery, but the recovery still needs further observation. Nobody dares to make a definitive conclusion right now." Charlotte Shaw spoke more flexibly, unlike the more definite statement she made earlier.
