Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1589: I’ve Already Made Up My Mind About This
To avoid worrying Alice Turner too much, Anthony didn’t mention going to the hotel to get his phone, but there’s something he must say now.
Though he knows she will be unhappy hearing it, he has to tell her.
"Sis! I don’t plan to return to Derry Kingdom tomorrow." Anthony pursed his lips and conveyed the decision he made on his way back.
Upon hearing this, Alice Turner got anxious, "Not going back to Derry Kingdom? I disagree."
Ever since she learned he was visiting the injured Benjamin Shaw, she knew he would make a fuss like this.
"I didn’t say I’m not going back to Derry Kingdom, I said I won’t go back tomorrow, I’ll return in a few days." Anthony knew Alice wouldn’t agree, but he was determined to stay. He explained it to her carefully, hoping she would allow his idea.
Alice Turner shook her head in denial, "The longer you stay here, the more dangerous it becomes. You don’t need to worry about Benjamin Shaw. I’ll handle it."
"What can you handle? You just take care of the wedding arrangements with Thomas Fisher, I’ll deal with my ex-brother." Anthony decided to stay to look after the injured Benjamin Shaw; he didn’t want to owe anyone too much.
Alice Turner raised her other hand and forcefully slapped Anthony’s arm that was holding hers, "You rascal! Benjamin Shaw’s injury has nothing to do with you; he got hurt saving me. Go do whatever you need to; don’t poke your nose in this."
She didn’t inform him because she didn’t want this outcome, but he found out anyway.
"That woman was aiming to harm me. If it weren’t for me, that woman wouldn’t know who you all were." Anthony, bluntly hitting the key point of the matter, was not polite.
Alice Turner understood this point, but she just didn’t want Anthony to stay and risk anything, "You..."
"Don’t say anything more; I’ve already decided. Grace Young will return alone tomorrow." Anthony didn’t give Alice another chance to object, directly interrupting her in mid-speech.
After stopping her, he pulled her into the house.
He walked swiftly—it was deliberate; he wanted to quickly enter the house where others were present, preventing further discussions on this matter.
Alice Turner wanted to slow down, but Anthony hardly gave her the chance. Before she knew it, he half-dragged and half-pulled her into the house.
Upon entering, Anthony released Alice Turner and quickly rejoined the playful Rosie Thompson and Evie, playing wilder and more uninhibitedly than before.
Watching the two grown-ups and two children frolicking in the living room, Alice Turner sighed deeply, glanced at Anthony, and shook her head helplessly.
Anthony never gave Alice a chance to persuade him. At night, after Rosie and Evie fell asleep, he went straight to the room Lily Turner arranged for him.
Bang bang bang!
"Sis! I’m already in bed. Whatever it is, let’s talk tomorrow."
Hearing the knock, Anthony knew without asking that it was Alice Turner. Before she could speak, he followed up.
By then, he was indeed lying in bed, but he felt not the least bit sleepy, staring wide-eyed at the blank ceiling lost in thought.
Alice Turner raised her hand intending to knock again but realized the person inside wouldn’t open the door for her. Sighing inaudibly at the closed door, she turned around and returned to her room.
