When Anthony went out just now, he didn’t tell Alice Turner the truth. He deceived her by saying he was going to take a stroll around the compound and enjoy its unique scenery.

She wanted to go with him, but he refused. She thought it was safe in the compound, so she didn’t insist on going with him.

However, Anthony had been out for almost two hours and hadn’t returned, making Alice Turner feel uneasy.

She entrusted Rosie Thompson and Evie to Grace Young and ran out to look for Anthony. She searched all over the family area of the compound but didn’t find Anthony.

Alice Turner’s heart jumped to her throat in an instant, but she tried to tell herself not to panic; this was the Military District Compound, and those people simply couldn’t infiltrate.

She forced herself to calm down and replayed the situation that occurred when he left.

The scene where Anthony borrowed Grace Young’s phone attracted enough attention and concern from Alice Turner, so she quickly ran home to ask Grace Young about the situation at that time.

She took Grace Young’s phone and indeed discovered an abnormal situation.

Seeing that Anthony had had a lengthy phone call with ’Benjamin Shaw’ before leaving, Alice Turner immediately thought Anthony had gone to the hospital, but she wasn’t completely sure.

She called Benjamin Shaw to inquire about the situation, only to find his phone was off, leading her to helplessly dial Charlotte Shaw’s phone.

From Charlotte Shaw, she learned Anthony had indeed gone to the hospital, but Alice Turner was still a step too late; Anthony had left the hospital over ten minutes ago.

"He said he was going for a stroll. I didn’t think he’d gone to the hospital." Alice Turner didn’t originally plan to let Anthony know about this; she had no other thoughts, just didn’t want him to overthink or carry any burden in his heart.

Although Benjamin Shaw was injured saving her, the woman was after him, and the entire matter was closely related to him.

From her understanding of him, she knew he definitely wouldn’t stand by once he found out.

Alice Turner’s greatest worry now was whether Anthony would still go back to Derry Kingdom tomorrow. She thought the chance of not returning was ninety-nine percent, with the remaining one percent being her hope for a miracle.

A miracle is just a miracle; if a miracle could easily happen, it wouldn’t be called a miracle.

When Anthony returned to the Military District Compound with the phone, over an hour had passed, and seeing Alice Turner standing at the gate, he immediately sensed something was off.

"Sis Alice! Why are you standing outside?"

Under the streetlight, Anthony carefully observed Alice Turner’s facial expression, noticing she had no expression, causing his heart to skip a beat.

She found out he went to the hospital!

Alice Turner said nothing, instead staring at Anthony silently.

She just stared at him, intensely staring as if she wouldn’t stop until she bored a hole in his face.

"Sis! I know I was wrong. I shouldn’t have lied to you when I went out, making you worry." Anthony truly realized his mistake; he had been too capricious when he went out and shouldn’t have neglected her feelings.

Alice Turner finally reacted upon hearing Anthony’s words, letting out a long sigh at him standing beside her, "Jacob! I know you’re very capable, but this isn’t your turf. If you encounter an ambush, you..."

"Sis! Didn’t I come back safe and sound?" Anthony draped his arm around Alice Turner’s, his face wearing what he believed to be an adorable smile.
