RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 137: A Big Opportunity

"Another Divinity..." The calm expression on William’s face instantly faded upon hearing Vivian’s words, replaced by a bewildered look.

"Yes, another divinity..." Vivian nodded with a frown. "Unlike your divinity, which feels completely neutral, this divinity is very different. It.. It gives me a very strange feeling."

William took a deep breath to remain calm and asked in a low voice.

"You mean there is a problem with this divinity?"

Vivian tasted a few more drops of blood, and the frown on her face deepened. She remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.

"I am honestly not sure if there is a problem with this divinity. It’s just that... this divinity gives me a very strange feeling. I can’t explain it in words, but I feel uncomfortable just by sensing it."

William took the bottle of blood back from Vivian and put it away.

"If it makes you feel uncomfortable, then don’t drink it anymore." He said and at the same time, couldn’t help but think about Samuel’s situation.

’If he has a completely different divinity, then does it mean even the bloodline he possesses might be completely different from mine?’

Thinking about what had happened when his father had shown them the heirloom statue, he felt it was very likely.

Previously, William had thought the reason the statue didn’t react when Samuel had touched it was because the concentration of his bloodline was lower than his.

But after hearing that the divinity in Samuel’s blood was different from his, he began to suspect that the reason the heirloom statue didn’t react was not because of the lower concentration of Samuel’s bloodline, but because his bloodline was completely different from his own.

That Supreme Figure was related to the Chaos Bloodline. Since William possessed the Chaos Bloodline, the statue had immediately reacted when he grabbed it.

But because Samuel had a different bloodline, the statue didn’t show any reaction when he touched it.

’If he doesn’t have divinity similar to mine, then where did his divinity come from?’

William was really beginning to feel a headache at this point.

He had figured out the origin of the divinity in his blood with great difficulty. And now another type of divinity had appeared, and it was in the blood of his own brother.

’Damn it, don’t tell me that other than that Supreme Figure, there were other powerful figures in my family in the past, and Samuel’s divinity came from one of them.’

The reason William was feeling so stressed about this matter was because if his guess was correct and there really had been many powerful beings in his family in the past, he couldn’t understand how all of them had disappeared.

Did they die somehow, or did they go somewhere else?

’Why do I feel like I should have had the life of a rich second-generation heir but was thrown out of the family for some reason?’

William rubbed his forehead and looked at Vivian, whose expression was not good, as if she didn’t like the taste of that divinity one bit.

"Does that divinity really feel that weird to you?"

Vivian shook her head.

"I wouldn’t say it’s weird. It’s just that I don’t like it very much for some reason."

William shook his head and asked with a sigh.

"Do you think the reason Samuel’s body is so weak is because of this strange divinity?"

"Very likely..." Vivian nodded. "From what I have noticed, this divinity is very scattered. The divinity in your blood has completely merged with your blood, but his situation is different. The divinity is only partially fused with his blood, creating an imbalance in his body that makes it difficult for him to stay healthy."

William frowned upon hearing Vivian’s words.

"Is there a way to solve this problem?"

Vivian thought for a moment before looking deeply at William.

William was taken aback by her deep gaze and felt puzzled.

"What’s wrong?"

"I think you should be able to solve this problem..." Vivian said with narrowed eyes. "Don’t forget, you are now essentially a Progenitor-level vampire. Someone who is best when it comes to things related to blood. Your Blood Manipulation is far stronger than you can imagine. If you master your Blood Manipulation to a high level, you should be able to merge that scattered divinity in his blood with his bloodline."

William was taken aback by Vivian’s response.

"Are you sure?"

Vivian shook her head and responded calmly.

"I am not one hundred percent sure, since things related to divinity aren’t easy to handle. But even if it doesn’t work, it’s worth giving it a try."

William thought about Vivian’s words and could only nod because he himself didn’t have any other idea about how to approach this situation.

Seeing him lost in thought, Vivian placed her hand on his.

"You don’t need to think about it too much. Even if it doesn’t work, we can always find a different method."

She paused before adding.

"Besides, he is still far from turning fifteen and starting cultivation. Considering his weak body, awakening his bloodline before he truly starts cultivating might not be a good thing. After all, awakening a bloodline puts a lot of strain on your body."

William remembered the pain of his bloodline awakening earlier, and his mouth twitched.

’Forget about it for now. With Samuel’s current weak body, awakening his bloodline might just be a path to the underworld for him.’

William thought and shook his head.

Just then, he noticed Vivian had become lost in thought, as if she were thinking about something important.

"What are you thinking about?"

Vivian snapped out of her thoughts upon hearing William’s voice.

"It’s nothing. I was just thinking about your Chaos Bloodline."

"My Chaos Bloodline?" A look of confusion appeared on William’s face.

Vivian nodded and explained.

"Doesn’t your Chaos Bloodline have the ability to assimilate other bloodlines into itself? So I was wondering if it could assimilate Samuel’s Bloodline into it as well."
