RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 164: He Is My Husband (Part 2)

When Alicia and Liam stepped out of the carriage, they saw a giant mansion in front of them, with its front gates wide open.

From the gates, they could see a beautiful front garden filled with different kinds of flowers and other rare plants. At the center of the garden, there was a water fountain with a fish statue spouting water from its mouth.

When Alicia saw the size of the mansion, her eyes widened, and she looked at William in shock.

"Other than the five Duke Families, I don’t think there are many people who own a mansion of this size in the City of Vance, where every inch of land is worth thousands of gold..." She spoke in a low voice. "Tell me honestly, have you married someone who is from one of the Five Duke Families?"

Liam also had his mouth hanging open upon seeing such a big mansion, and upon recalling how he was staying in that small room in the dormitory while William might have been enjoying himself at such a good place, he couldn’t help but wonder if he should also find a senior to take care of him.

"She is not from any of the Duke Families..." William answered Alicia’s question and paid the fare for the carriage.

Once done, he was about to lead them inside the mansion when he saw a woman in her mid-thirties wearing a maid’s dress standing at the side of the entrance.

The woman had dark brown hair tied in a bun, and she stood there with a gentle expression, looking at the three of them calmly.

"Let’s go," William said and led them towards the entrance.

Seeing them coming, the woman bowed slightly to them.

"Welcome, Esteemed Guests. Please follow me. My lady has been waiting for you all inside."

"Thank you for your help, Victoria." William nodded at the woman and gestured for her to lead the way.

A look of surprise flashed in Victoria’s eyes, and she looked at him in confusion because, as far as she remembered, she had never met this young man, so she couldn’t understand how he knew her name.

Though she was confused, Victoria did not forget her duty and led them inside.

The reason Vivian knew they were coming was because William had informed her using their mind link connection.

In fact, even if Liam and Alicia hadn’t asked, he was planning to come and meet her anyway. After all, he needed to tell her about Simon and the Blood God Cult.

’I wonder if she knows this Blood God Cult is related to the Blood Ancestor?’ He thought as he looked at the familiar surroundings.

"Hey Liam, we made a big mistake."

Just as he was looking around, he heard Alicia’s low voice.

"What’s wrong?" Liam asked in confusion.

"We are here to meet his wife, but we forgot to bring any gift with us." Alicia spoke with an awkward look on her face. "It wouldn’t look good if we go meet her without any gift, right?"

Liam was startled when he heard Alicia’s words and felt she was right.

William had brought him a powerful cultivation technique last time, and according to him, it was a gift from his sister-in-law.

Now that he was meeting her, he should at least bring something good.

"That... How about we go back and buy something?"

Alicia nodded and was about to talk to William when they heard a calm voice.

"Don’t worry about so-called gifts..." William said in a calm voice. "Just act like how you act when meeting a friend, and it will be fine."

"How can it be..." Alicia, who was raised among the nobles mumbled. "It’s basic manners to bring something when you are meeting someone for the first time. Especially if that someone is your friend’s wife."

Victoria, who was walking ahead of them had tons of question marks floating above her head.

The words "friend’s wife" made her feel as if she might have brought the wrong people to meet her master after all. Other than her master Vivian, there was no one living in the mansion.

And from the conversation of these people, it seemed they had come to meet their friend’s wife.

’Should I go ask My Lady first before bringing them in?’

Victoria was really afraid that if she brought them in and they treated Vivian like their friend’s wife, she would have to clean three dead bodies of these people tonight.

Just as she was lost in thought, she noticed a beautiful woman in a long black dress with her hair untied coming out of the mansion, looking at them with a faint smile.

Seeing Vivian, Victoria’s mind went blank for a moment.

’It’s over. My Lady must have heard their blasphemous conversation and came out herself to send them to the afterlife.’

Victoria glanced at William, Alicia, and Liam at the back, and her eyes narrowed.

To her, Liam looked like someone simple who wasn’t worth considering. Alicia, on the other hand, gave her the feeling of someone from a high-class family, making her wonder how she should dispose of her later on so that it wouldn’t bring any trouble to her lady.

As for William, she was a bit confused about him. Although he didn’t seem like someone from a high-class family, for some reason, the feeling he gave her was somewhat similar to her Lady.

While she was thinking about how to clean their dead bodies later on, William and the others also noticed Vivian standing ahead.

"That... Is that your wife?" Alicia asked in disbelief, looking at the beautiful lady ahead.

William just smiled at her and nodded.

’Why are you wearing makeup today? You don’t need those things to look beautiful.’

He talked to Vivian through their mind link.

’I am meeting your friends for the first time. So isn’t this natural, to dress up a bit?’ Vivian replied in a calm voice, her lips arching upward slightly.

When Victoria heard Alicia asking William if her Lady was his wife, a cold light flashed in her eyes.

’A brat who hasn’t even grown his hair yet wants to become the husband of My Lady.’

She rubbed the hidden knife in her sleeve, and once she was just a few meters away from Vivian, she bowed and asked in a low voice.

"My Lady, I apologize for bringing the wrong people. Just give me the order, and I’ll take care of these brats..."

"Huh?" A look of confusion flashed in Vivian’s eyes.

"What are you talking about, Victoria?" Vivian shook her head. "These are the exact people I was waiting for."

As she spoke, she pointed at William.

"Meet him. He is William. My husband."

Hearing Vivian’s words, Victoria almost dropped the hidden knife from her sleeve, and her eyes widened in shock.

"My Lady, what did you just say?" She asked in a trembling voice.

"I said he is William, my husband."

"Nani?" Victoria’s mind crashed.
