RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 168: Do You Want A Bloodline?
William and Liam strolled through the front garden of the mansion.
"Damn, this place is really big," Liam couldn’t help but say as he walked beside William, looking around.
"How about you find a rich wife for yourself as well? Then you can also live in a big mansion," William said with a smile upon hearing him.
"You are speaking as if it is easy to find a rich woman who is good to you," Liam said with a sigh before putting his arm over William’s shoulder.
"By the way, does Sister-in-Law have a younger or older sister? How about you introduce them to me?"
William’s mouth twitched at Liam’s question, and he pushed away his arm.
"Why don’t you go and ask your Sister-in-Law yourself? I bet she will gladly tell you."
Recalling Vivian, Liam couldn’t help but shudder slightly.
"I don’t know why, but I feel like Sister-in-Law is very scary," He said while scratching the back of his head. "Although she talked very politely, I don’t know why, but I still felt scared of her."
William couldn’t help but chuckle at his words, as he knew it was very likely because of how strong Vivian was.
For weaker people, it was normal to feel a kind of fear while talking to someone far stronger than them, even if that person didn’t deliberately try to scare them.
They strolled through the garden for some time before Liam glanced at him.
"Why did you bring me out?" He asked, feeling somewhat resentful, as he had just been about to taste that delicious-looking brown fruit.
He was sure that just like the honey, that fruit would have been very tasty as well.
William walked to the fountain in the middle of the garden and sat down on a bench beside it.
"Do you know about Bloodlines?" He asked after sitting down.
"Bloodlines?" Liam raised an eyebrow and nodded. "I have heard a few things about them. From what I know, it seems there are some people who are born with special bloodlines. There are many bloodlines in the world, and each bloodline grants its holder different benefits. Some increase their defense, some increase their strength, some give special abilities, and many more."
William nodded and stared into Liam’s eyes.
"Then, do you want to get a powerful bloodline?"
A stunned look appeared in Liam’s eyes, and he looked at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
William did not answer Liam’s question. Instead, a blood-red aura erupted from him, and his eyes slowly turned red while his hair turned platinum-white.
"Holy shit!" Liam jumped up in fright upon feeling the powerful aura coming from William, and his jaw nearly dropped to the ground.
He stared at William’s changed appearance with his eyes wide open, his body trembling slightly.
"This..." He pointed at him. "What kind of instant makeover skill is this?"
William, who was enjoying his shocked expression nearly fell off the bench and looked at him speechlessly.
"You are really..." He shook his head before speaking.
"It’s the power of my Bloodline. Can you feel it?"
As he spoke, William’s eyes glowed slightly red, and Liam felt the blood in his body go out of control, making him feel extremely uncomfortable.
"If you speak nonsense again, I can directly destroy your heart. So be careful what you say now."
William said with a smirk before stopping his Blood Manipulation.
Liam gulped his saliva when he felt his blood return to normal, and he looked at William in disbelief.
"What kind of Bloodline is this? No! Before that, how did you even get a Bloodline?"
"I was born with this Bloodline..." William did not say anything about the Chaos Bloodline, as that thing was just too absurd.
"It’s a Vampire Bloodline. This Bloodline grants its holder insane regeneration..."
As he spoke, William summoned Blood Moon and made a deep cut on his palm.
But to Liam’s shock, the cut on William’s palm healed in just a second.
"On top of that, if the level of your Bloodline is high, it also allows you to control the blood of creatures."
He once again controlled Liam’s blood, giving him a nosebleed.
"Using it, you can also control people’s minds."
William’s eyes glowed, and he ordered Liam,
"Come here!"
Liam immediately fell under his mind suggestion and, like a puppet, walked over to him.
Once he was in front of him, William made him snap back to his senses.
"This..."
Seeing that he had somehow walked over to William without realizing it, Liam felt a chill run down his spine.
"What kind of demonic Bloodline is this?"
William wasn’t surprised by Liam’s reaction and spoke calmly.
"As I said before, it’s a Vampire Bloodline. Normally, it’s not very powerful, but if its grade is high enough, it’s one of the best Bloodlines across the multiple realms."
"High grade?" Liam asked in confusion. "Are there grades even among Bloodlines?"
William paused, and only then did he remember that the academy had just started, and they still hadn’t reached the point where they were taught about Bloodlines.
"There are five grades of Bloodlines..." William explained to him. "Mortal Grade, Mystic Grade, Royal Grade, Apex Grade, and Origin Grade."
"Then your Bloodline..." Liam asked while gulping down his saliva.
William smiled and spoke with a chuckle.
"Origin Grade... It’s the highest level of Bloodline."
"Fuck!" Liam couldn’t help but curse.
"No wonder you have been so strong since the start. So it turned out that, along with your trait, you also have a very powerful Bloodline."
William didn’t bother to correct Liam’s thoughts and smiled faintly as the blood-red aura around him disappeared, and his appearance also returned to normal.
Suddenly, Liam thought of what William had said earlier, and his pupils contracted.
"Then, when you asked me earlier if I wanted a powerful Bloodline..."
William nodded and spoke seriously.
"Yes, it’s a Vampire Bloodline..." He paused before adding, "And it’s an Apex-Grade Bloodline. If you agree, I can grant you a powerful Apex-Level Bloodline."
