Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 1934 - 1914:
Chapter 1934: Chapter 1914:
After breakfast, Luo Qianqian was completely unprepared for her little brother’s interest in visiting her school environment, and for a moment, she felt he wasn’t just a brother, but more like an elder or even a senior. She even suspected that he might be a spy sent by her brother...
"Here, let them hang these for now, they’re not very useful, but before the selection over there ends, they’ll have to leave. It’s okay to play around for now." Mo casually handed out two badges, pulling Luo Qianqian over to straighten her slightly crooked collar: "I’ll be back to find you at noon, if there’s anything, look for me at the venue."
"Okay." Luo Qianqian nodded immediately.
After all, Mo had other matters to attend to, so he couldn’t stay and play house with them the whole time.
An Hao watched Mo leave, tilting his head in confusion: "Sis, what’s Brother Mo going to do?"
"Brother Mo still has things to do. Precisely because he does, you can come in and play now. Here, put this on, one for each of you." Luo Qianqian crouched down to pin the badges on the two, then looked up at He Wenyu: "Do you think anyone will think they’re our children..."
"Don’t worry...uh, they shouldn’t, right?" Just as he was about to deny it, he noticed the resemblance between Luo Qianqian and An Hao. It made sense, they’re siblings, born of the same mother.
But... They do have an age gap, so who knows, right?
"Oh well, why bother thinking about it? Let’s go see what the classes are doing; just because we’re hosting a wedding here doesn’t mean there won’t be guests." Luo Qianqian smiled wryly: "Luckily, An Hao is here to be a little flower boy with Tantan."
"That works." He Wenyu nodded repeatedly, a gleam in his eyes: "I’ve been thinking about a wedding combining Eastern and Western styles. Since Cong Ying can’t wear a white dress, we’ll have Tantan wear one, and An Hao will wear a little white suit with a red bow tie. The thought alone is picturesque."
"You’re overlooking one issue," Luo Qianqian suddenly said with a strange expression.
"What?"
"We’ve got our parents and witnesses, but what about the officiant?" Luo Qianqian turned stiffly to He Wenyu, feeling a bit uneasy: "Aren’t we forcing Fourth Brother into this role?"
"That works, anyway, he is an actor. It wouldn’t hurt to challenge this role, we can give him a big red envelope for him to buy some good food for Fourth Sister-in-Law," He Wenyu’s eyes lit up at Luo Qianqian’s suggestion.
Seriously, with such a perfect candidate, why worry? At worst, cram last-minute and make him memorize a script.
"Actually, not just Fourth Brother, Second Brother Qin is good too. As a lawyer, he’s got great speaking skills, right?" Luo Qianqian chuckled sneakily.
"By that logic, our eldest brother could do it too, right? Business requires eloquence and persuasion," He Wenyu pondered, resting his chin on his hand: "Although, from a certain perspective, our big brother can practically close deals without saying much."
"I just had a thought, why don’t we start an auction house?" Luo Qianqian giggled: "That way, we can avoid those ruthless, cutthroat auctions, right?"
"Those are issues for another time, no rush. The officiant is urgent now." He Wenyu rolled his eyes.
Knowing Luo Qianqian’s personality, she’d probably suggest a theme park next time, given she’d already suggested a pet store.
"Now, let’s head out for the tour!" An Hao saw the two getting carried away and immediately interrupted, looking quite overwhelmed.
Seriously, with two adults here, how could they be ignored? It’s just unbelievable, isn’t it?
Tantan looked up at the two, but since she was standing with An Hao, she didn’t feel neglected. So, she calmly munched on the small meat pie He Wenyu had packed for her.
Breakfast is breakfast, but a small meat pie is a snack; they’re not the same.
Due to An Hao’s dissatisfaction, the two quickly led the group out, and because of the timing, their first stop... was surprisingly the cafeteria.
The small meat pie in Tantan’s hand drew numerous curious glances, but she remained oblivious, happily eating away.
"An Hao, want to try the cafeteria food?" Luo Qianqian asked with a mischievous smile.
Seeing the sly grin on Luo Qianqian’s face, An Hao thought it over and nodded; worst case, he’d pack it to go since there was still a little bird waiting to be fed.
"Shiliu Shiqi, what’s the situation here?" Di Jun saw the two bring the kids into the cafeteria and followed along.
Are you kidding? Over in Yellow Class, they’d rather roast meat in the classroom than eat cafeteria food, right?
"Help me get a meal, the best one." Luo Qianqian handed over her card to Di Jun: "I’m educating the kids on ’who knows how the dining spread, every grain is hard-earned.’"
"You’re so cruel to such young kids." Di Jun helplessly shook his head, then went to help.
An Hao tilted his head, eyeing Long Tu standing beside him, and after a long look, asked softly: "Big brother, do I know you?"
Long Tu froze, then looked at An Hao with no small amount of surprise.
Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but laugh: "If you were hitting on a young lady, this line would work, but hitting on a big brother, what’s the deal?"
An Hao said nothing, just smiled.
"Brother Long Tu, here, have one." Seeing An Hao’s demeanor, Tantan generously pulled a still-steaming meat pie from her food-filled little pouch and offered it.
Luo Qianqian was stunned. Tantan giving away her food? And voluntarily? It’s simply incredible, isn’t it?
Long Tu, looking at Tantan, found it both amusing and exasperating.
After all, he hadn’t seen her for a long time; ever since the team seat competition emerged, Luo Qianqian had forbidden them from appearing at the Forget Worries Tea House, pretending they couldn’t come out... just to keep Lin Jiayou from realizing this option.
After all, Di Jun’s skills are evident, right?
Though they’re still lost in the fog, who knows when they might figure it out, and then these ’designers’ would look quite ridiculous?
Long Tu accepted the meat pie, then handed over two packs of small jerky to Tantan and An Hao: "They taste pretty good as a snack, and they can help with teething."
Luo Qianqian looked at Long Tu, amused and speechless.
Teething...
Though, doesn’t Nianan need something for teething?
When Di Jun returned, his face was full of embarrassment: "Someone asked me if I could sell them a meat pie. I said the pie wasn’t mine, then got scorned."
"Tantan’s snacks, don’t get any ideas," He Wenyu said calmly: "But you can join us for lunch."
"Yay!" Di Jun’s eyes lit up instantly.
