Chapter 1998: Chapter 1978:
"The path we came from is sealed? What’s going on?" Luo Qianqian immediately turned around in surprise, wanting to push the door to see.
However, she was shocked to find that the door Mo easily pushed open just moments ago was now impossible to budge, as if it was a fake door. It looked like a door but was actually a wall...
"When we found this door, we must have located the Dawnlight Flower too." Long Tu digested the information brought by the sudden flash just now and said somewhat helplessly, "Luckily, we left quickly. Now, that place should be filled with poisonous mist, an unsolvable poisonous mist."
Mo looked at Long Tu in astonishment. The Dawnlight Flower released poisonous mist only after they left? How could it do that without consciousness...
As if sensing Mo’s doubt, Long Tu calmly said, "If there’s a flower that can turn medicine into poison in three breaths, why can’t there be one that turns non-toxic into toxic in a cup of tea’s time? The poison of a Dawnlight Flower is suppressed within the flower for the duration of a cup of tea, making it deadly to consume. Beyond that time, the flower can’t contain the large amount of poison and will slowly release it. Moreover, under the nourishment of the poison, the Dawnlight Flower will bloom more brilliantly day by day," Long Tu explained nonchalantly, "Good thing we left quickly; otherwise, even the Detoxification Pill would have been useless because the Dawnlight Flower is also known as the Flower of Death."
Luo Qianqian gasped in disbelief, looking at Long Tu. This seemingly mundane Dawnlight Flower was actually that formidable?!
"Here... you said this is the Land of Heritage?" Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but ask again.
"It’s the legacy of the Emperor of the Earth, which I’ve obtained," Long Tu didn’t conceal anything, "I’ve been to the Secret Realm once before and received the cultivation technique and recognition."
Mo’s gaze at Long Tu grew even odder; how could he speak so casually about such matters? And he’s been to the Secret Realm once before?! Did he think the Secret Realm was like cabbage, easy to visit anytime?!
But looking at Long Tu, Mo couldn’t bring himself to say anything.
"So, you know how to leave too?" Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but ask.
"Yeah, there’s a transmission formation here. It’s not hard to activate, and we can go straight to the weapon warehouse," Long Tu remained very calm. Then he casually picked up an inconspicuous item on the table, threw it into the corner, and immediately the corner lit up. Long Tu said nonchalantly, "Let’s go then."
As everyone stood on the formation, Long Tu casually threw something towards the inconspicuous earthenware pot and then calmly left with the transmission formation.
"Crack..."
A crisp sound echoed; the earthenware pot shattered.
Clusters of shadows appeared, lingering in the room, seemingly unaware of the current situation.
"Gurgle gurgle..."
The soda can that shattered the pot rolled slowly on the ground, stopping at the corner. Though lifeless, the sound of carbon dioxide escaping from the can attracted the demon spirits in the room.
Long Tu smirked slightly and absentmindedly spun the ring on his finger.
With a flash of light, they found themselves in a room filled with various weapons, some of which emanated such a strong aura of blood that they suppressed their movements, preventing them from moving freely.
"Oh, found it." Long Tu seemed to be guided, locating a shield with intricate patterns and complicated formations. Yet the entire shield seemed entirely unappealing; neither its color nor design was striking.
Luo Qianqian rubbed her chin. In a way, it was similar to her bow!
Sufficiently low-key, low-key enough to make people think it isn’t impressive, and therefore underestimate it, which could allow one to deceive and conquer by surprise, right? This tactic, though clichéd, was quite effective.
"I like this one." Luo Qianqian walked to a small copper bell in the corner, her eyes lighting up instantly, and she grabbed it right away, "I want this, don’t fight with me over it!"
"Besides you, who would want something that’s just pretty but useless?" Di Jun shook his head speechlessly.
Huangfu Yihui nodded in agreement, yet held a soft armor set not willing to let go, "I want this."
He immediately sensed its extraordinary nature.
Mo picked up a copper ring, lost in thought as he stood there.
Only Di Jun looked around and finally picked up a long knife, muttering, "Whoever annoys me in the future, I’ll just slash them!"
"Has everyone chosen?" Long Tu looked at everyone, then waved his hand, making all things in the room disappear, "Each person can only take one item. Next, we also have to head to the Underground Trial Tower. Others have likely already arrived there."
Having received the legacy, Mo was aware of what was underground, so calmly led everyone using the room’s one-way transmission formation, arriving at the place leading to the Underground Trial Tower where all paths converged.
"Wow, it looks like someone else was here before us?" Luo Qianqian tied the little copper bell to her wrist, casually looking at the messy footprints on the ground, raising an eyebrow.
The soil made it easy to discover these things, but they didn’t step directly on the ground. For Luo Qianqian, although it was quite draining, he’d rather not step onto a place as disgusting as the earlier ’mortuary room’.
For everyone else, the same was true, especially not knowing if they might trigger any traps by setting foot on the ground, they moved like jumping, occasionally touching the ground.
Mo frowned a little: "Here... seems like another world altogether." Looking up at the inexplicable nine-level tower, he felt a strange sense of unease.
Long Tu, however, remained calm: "I’m definitely going in. The number of people inside will show on that stone tablet, and from the looks of it now, the highest is only the Fourth Level."
Mo glanced at the stone tablet, which depicted a tower, with glowing dots on each level below the fifth, but none above, clearly indicating that those dots represented people.
"What will we face inside?" Mo inquired, still feeling an unexplained animosity towards Long Tu, but since they were teammates, he couldn’t make things too unpleasant.
"Just spiritual pressure; overcoming it and defeating the level Guardian will allow us to continue up the stairs," Long Tu said calmly, "Of course, if your strength surpasses the Guardian’s, they’ll let you pass without conflict."
Luo Qianqian gulped, feeling slightly scared, "Isn’t this... kind of scary? Are we going to have to fight soon?"
