Chapter 1400: Acquaintances Through Blind Dates
Chapter 1400: Chapter 1400: Acquaintances Through Blind Dates
"This is just the outer area. The raw jade materials inside are better, but the truly good ones are stored by the jade merchants, and you won’t see them unless you’re a familiar customer," the driver said with a smile.
"So troublesome," Sophie Wilson pouted, clearly a bit bored.
"Well, our Miss is here today. Why don’t you two find our Miss? She might be able to show you around," the driver suggested.
"Would that be alright?" Charles Seymour hesitated and asked.
"Sure, sure! Let’s go have a look. We’re not buying, just looking," Sophie Wilson said excitedly, then turned to the driver, "Can you contact your Miss?"
"Sure," the driver swiftly contacted Isabella Chamberlain.
Soon, the driver hung up the phone, then smiled at Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, our Miss is inside. I’ll take you to her."
Once inside, Isabella Chamberlain warmly welcomed them and introduced them to the situation, explaining who was there, sharing some gemstone gambling knowledge, and recounting the stories of those who became wealthy with a single cut and those whose families were ruined.
Sophie Wilson listened intently, "Gemstone gambling is truly amazing. Miss Chamberlain, do you still dare to gamble on jade here? You are so bold."
"I certainly don’t dare myself," Isabella Chamberlain said with a smile, "But I have invited a master evaluator. With a master’s help, I dare to make a move."
"Is the master that skilled? Can he see correctly one hundred percent of the time?" Sophie Wilson asked curiously.
"Of course not one hundred percent," Isabella Chamberlain laughed softly, "Even the gods can’t judge jade perfectly, not to mention the master isn’t a god. There are always wins and losses."
"But I can afford to lose with my financial strength," Isabella Chamberlain subtly demonstrated her wealth to Charles Seymour.
"Miss Chamberlain, you’re truly remarkable and wealthy," Sophie Wilson exclaimed in amazement, then turned to look at Charles Seymour, "Look at Miss Chamberlain; she can gamble on jade, but we can’t."
Isabella Chamberlain listened to Sophie Wilson’s complaint and laughed secretly to herself.
If she doesn’t give her man face outside, how many men would like such a wife?
"I see Mr. Seymour treats Mrs. Seymour very well," Isabella Chamberlain said enviously, "Unlike me, I only have some money and have yet to meet a soulmate. By the way, how did Mrs. Seymour and Mr. Seymour meet?"
"Would you mind sharing your experience?" Isabella Chamberlain seemed curious and asked.
"There’s nothing much about us," Sophie Wilson seemed a bit uninterested when she mentioned it, "I met him through an arranged meeting."
"An arranged meeting?" Isabella Chamberlain hadn’t expected such an answer.
"Are you surprised?" Sophie Wilson asked, puzzled.
"It’s really surprising. Both of you are so good-looking; why would you need an arranged meeting? You must have many pursuers daily," Isabella Chamberlain thought their relationship was good. If it was an arranged meeting... it seemed her chances of winning over Charles Seymour were greater.
"I do have many pursuers, but those people are really annoying. Once we start dating, they all disappear. Miss Chamberlain, you have your own hotel and your family is so wealthy, but don’t you know, lots of men are just scumbags who want to take advantage after spending a little money on you?"
Sophie Wilson complained angrily, "I don’t care for such men."
