Patrick Grant just smiled slightly and said to Mr. Fenton, “Mr. Fenton, feel free. I’m merely saying it casually.”

“I trust Mr. Grant,” Mr. Fenton spoke firmly.

Back in the day, when Stone God Grant was still around, he had invited Stone God Grant to oversee things. Even now, he cannot forget the shock Patrick Grant brought him back then.

Facing Mr. Fenton, Patrick Grant just gave a slight smile, devoid of the sharpness of the past. Yet his smile was gentle as jade, carrying an irresistible persuasiveness.

“Mr. Fenton truly trusts Big Brother Grant.” Master Clark sneered through gritted teeth.

That feeling of being trampled by someone again came back to him the moment Patrick Grant appeared.

Unwillingness, repression, shame… All the feelings from many years ago returned.

Patrick Grant!

Why does he have to appear again?

“Huh? That’s how it is!” Sophie Wilson exclaimed in surprise, “Oh my, seducing someone’s wife, tricking them into bankruptcy, and still shamelessly calling them brother? How thick-skinned is that? Ah, no, this isn’t about thick skin; this is beyond human decency, more like a beast!”

“Ah, no, how could I insult beasts like this?” Sophie Wilson’s sequential exclamations left everyone outside the barricade speechless.

They were just kindly sharing some old gossip with her; who would have thought she would shout it out so directly?

Gossip should be whispered in secret, with mutual awareness; who would shout it openly?

Sophie Wilson couldn’t care less about their expressions and quickly ran back to Charles Seymour, grabbing his hand and gossiping, “Honey, oh my, I’ve never seen someone so shameless, pretending to be good brothers with someone, and exploiting their trust to trap them; it’s so sinister and despicable!”

“Hmm.” Charles Seymour nodded in agreement.

Master Clark’s face grew increasingly grim, glaring at Sophie Wilson and coldly reprimanding, “Ma’am, best not to say things you shouldn’t say.”

“Huh? Is this your house? Do you have a say in what I say?” Sophie Wilson defiantly planted her feet and glared at Master Clark.

“You’ve done it and still hope others won’t talk about it? Playing both the harlot and erecting the chastity arch… Who gave you such thick skin?”

At this point, Sophie Wilson turned to Isabella Chamberlain, “Miss Chamberlain, why would you invite someone like this? Associating with a person of ill intent…”

Sophie Wilson didn’t continue with her words, but her unreserved contempt clearly signaled she thought Isabella Chamberlain was equally shameless!

Isabella Chamberlain really wished she could sew Sophie’s mouth shut.

A woman as materialistic as Sophie Wilson has the nerve to call her sinister?

“Mrs. Seymour, I think you misunderstand. The true facts of the past are only known to those involved. Moreover, today isn’t about discussing personal matters; the Chamberlain Family is here to buy raw materials.”

Isabella Chamberlain continued, “Furthermore, for Stone God Grant to speak such words isn’t that undermining the owner’s business? Such behavior… Telling the real facts of the past is certainly difficult.”

Isabella Chamberlain’s words elicited many nods from the crowd outside the barricade.

Indeed.

There are so many rules in stone gambling; who talks like that in front of the owner?

Even if people want to speak, they should speak to their own. Speaking publicly about which raw materials will fail, isn’t that a slap to the face of the raw material owner?
