Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 1409: Not Fit for the Spotlight
Patrick Grant looked at Isabella Chamberlain and finally understood.
At his age, having experienced ups and downs, he naturally saw many things clearly.
He had noticed that Isabella Chamberlain had other intentions toward Charles Seymour.
Daring to covet their boss’s man… Hmm, he admired that woman’s courage.
Just then, Isabella Chamberlain’s secretary returned, and after Boss Payten listened to his employee, he laughed, “Miss Chamberlain, are you going to unravel it here directly, or take it back?”
Isabella Chamberlain smiled and said, “Of course, we’ll unravel it directly here.”
“Great.” Boss Payten was also a straightforward person, and immediately had the employee move the raw material to the machine.
Someone was going to unravel stones on-site, which attracted quite a few people, and then, upon hearing that Stone God Grant, who had been silent for years, reappeared, even more people were drawn in.
Eventually, a crowd gathered here, packed tightly.
“Stone God Grant, huh? Such a big change?”
“Given what happened back then, it’s good he’s okay; what’s wrong with a bit of change?”
“No, don’t you think Stone God Grant doesn’t seem at all like someone who has been devastated?”
Someone suddenly threw out this statement, prompting people to scrutinize Patrick Grant closely, noticing the quality of the clothes’ fabric, the excellent tailoring, and despite the years that had passed, Patrick Grant’s face showed little signs of aging.
Most importantly, there wasn’t the slightest trace left of being struck, in his demeanor.
“Well, is this raw material really ruined?”
Finally, someone focused on the raw material, as the success or failure was clearly a contest between Stone God Grant and Master Clark.
While people discussed this, Master Clark had finished drawing the lines.
The stonecutter didn’t hesitate for a moment and cut down with a clatter.
As soon as the cut was finished, water splashed, and the bright green color was revealed under a thin stone layer.
“It’s green!”
“It’s risen!”
The surrounding exclamations of awe and envious glances were all because of this piece of raw material.
Who chose this piece of raw material?
Naturally, it was Master Clark!
As one who could determine jade within a stone at a glance, Master Clark was now extraordinarily pleased.
With hands behind his back, he puffed his chest and raised his head, like a victorious general who had just fought a battle, full of disdain.
“Big Brother Grant, my vision isn’t bad over these years, right?” Although Master Clark’s words sounded humble, the overflowing pride was radiating from his pores; he was just short of hoisting a grand flag, declaring himself the foremost in the Gambling Stones Realm!
“Perhaps back then, I was young and slightly less adept than Big Brother Grant, and these years, Big Brother hasn’t appeared in the stone gambling circles, so you might not know my present capabilities. I guess this can be considered growth, not letting down the times we socialized with Big Brother.”
Mr. Fenton frowned as he listened to Master Clark’s words.
In the marketplace, unless someone is a mortal enemy, Mr. Fenton always leaves some room.
Master Clark’s aggressive method of doing things indeed made Mr. Fenton a bit uncomfortable.
Not to mention the past events, even considering today’s stone gambling, there’s no need to squeeze people like this, right?
Mr. Fenton glanced at Isabella Chamberlain, seeing her face filled with pride, he realized that the Chamberlain Family hadn’t placed their bets on Isabella Chamberlain at all.
Such weak talent in recognizing and employing people, Isabella Chamberlain was really… too shallow and not suited for the spotlight.
