Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 1450: Adorable
Chapter 1450: Chapter 1450: Adorable
"Hello, I’d like to schedule a meeting with your manager." Sophie Wilson handed her business card to the receptionist.
Of course, this business card was made when the hospital did it initially; she joined in for fun, not expecting it would actually come in handy one day.
"Alright, we’ll arrange a time for you and get back to you." The receptionist took Sophie’s business card and said professionally with a smile.
Sophie nodded and turned to leave.
She already had a general impression of this company.
This company really doesn’t seem to be short on money.
As an agency for pharmaceuticals, not mentioning hospitals nationwide, at least in Imperial City, they should be well-acquainted with its hospitals.
Even the receptionists would undergo training.
However, the receptionist remained so calm upon seeing her business card, which was quite unusual.
Sophie believed her own hospital was definitely famous.
Not to mention the pharmaceutical agency, even another hospital, whether public or private, was quite friendly with theirs.
Even for an exchange spot, people would scramble for it, not to mention other medical device companies wanting them to use their supplies.
Given that her hospital was so well-known, this company could remain so composed... There’s something unusual hidden behind it.
Sophie strolled out slowly, drove home.
Acting as if nothing was amiss, she continued with what she usually did at home, informing the Dean that she’d handle this matter herself.
In the evening, when Charles Seymour returned home, Sophie was already waiting for him.
"Dear, is the company busy?" Sophie routinely jumped into Charles’s arms; he steadily caught her and snuck in a kiss before replying, "Not busy, nothing much happening."
"Oh." Sophie nodded. Before she could say more, she heard Charles recite a string of things in her ear.
Things like acquisitions, expansions, and a bunch of other stuff, making her eyes spin.
Anyway, she didn’t understand these things, but hearing Charles say so much, she could only derive one word—busy.
"So many things, and you’re not busy?" Sophie asked in amazement.
How many things does her Mr. Seymour have to handle every day?
If even this isn’t considered busy, what would it be like when it is?
"Well, it’s not busy for me." Charles said casually, "Normal work hours, I even napped for half an hour in the afternoon."
After finishing his sentence, Charles realized Sophie was looking at him with a... rather complex gaze, making his heart skip a beat.
Did he say something wrong just now?
Damn Jim Perry, saying women like strong men who can protect them.
Isn’t he powerful enough this way?
Or perhaps, that kind of mundane approach doesn’t work on Sophie at all.
True, why would such methods be effective with Sophie?
He was really out of his mind to listen to Jim Perry’s nonsense!
"What’s wrong?" Despite the emotional turmoil inside, Charles maintained a calm facade and asked with extreme composure.
"Dear, did you know you’re very cute?" Sophie raised an eyebrow slightly and asked.
"Cute?" Charles asked puzzled, then his lips curled slightly, "You think I’m cute?"
This result doesn’t seem bad either.
