Wu Yun nodded. "Putting that aside, I’ve noticed Luckin Coffee has been expanding rapidly lately! Have you run into any problems?"

Just as Xu Chenxi was about to speak, a barista walked over. "Sir, President Xu, excuse me! Here are your coffees!"

As the barista spoke, she couldn’t help but stare curiously at the face hidden under the brim of Wu Yun’s hat, wanting to see what the company president’s boyfriend actually looked like.

However, to the barista’s disappointment, because Wu Yun was sitting down, her view was completely blocked by his hat. After setting down the coffee, she didn’t dare to stare any longer and turned to leave their table.

"Not bad, President Xu! I’m surprised even a random employee knows who you are!" A smile touched Wu Yun’s face.

Xu Chenxi replied coquettishly, "Honey! You’re teasing me again! It’s just that our employee training is quite thorough. Besides, this store in Modu is our first branch in the entire country. If the staff here didn’t recognize me, then there’d be no point in being the boss’s wife!"

Wu Yun ignored the deeper meaning behind her words and repeated his earlier question.

Xu Chenxi pondered for a moment before replying, "There are a few issues. We’ve now expanded into major cities all across the country. But while the market in big cities is vast, the corresponding costs of opening new stores are quite high."

"So... the startup capital you gave me is almost gone!" As she said this, she secretly glanced at Wu Yun’s expression. Seeing no change, she continued, "Of course, half of our stores are already operational. Thanks to our site selection, pricing, and marketing, many white-collar workers have been very supportive of our products. All of our operating stores have already become profitable!"

"Right now, there are three paths ahead of us. First, we could wait for all the planned stores to open, stabilize our foundation, and then expand further."

"Second, we could seek financing to maintain our current rate of expansion."

"Third is franchising. We’ve had a lot of people from all over the country contact us about it, but we haven’t agreed to anything yet."

Wu Yun nodded, cutting right to the heart of the matter. "That’s what Wang Zhiye wants to say, isn’t it?"

Xu Chenxi linked her arm with Wu Yun’s and said coaxingly, "Yes. So, why don’t we be a bit more conservative? Our current scale is already big enough! We should stabilize first, then expand, right?"

Wu Yun patted her shoulder. "Don’t worry. Your man has more money than he knows what to do with. I’ll talk to Tang Hongjiang later and have him come to the company to perform due diligence and complete the first round of financing."

"However~ your shares will be diluted," Wu Yun said, taking her hand and kneading it gently.

Xu Chenxi said, unconcerned, "I don’t care about that at all! As long as I can be by your side, I’m perfectly happy."

Leaning her head on Wu Yun’s shoulder, Xu Chenxi picked up a paper cup with an elegant logo printed on it, took a sip of coffee, and smiled blissfully.

"Oh! By the way, a few days ago, I heard you say you still haven’t found a star for the company’s endorsement video?"

Xu Chenxi looked up at Wu Yun, who was sipping his coffee, and nodded. "That’s right. The celebrities we’ve approached are either too expensive, or the affordable ones aren’t famous enough."

"Hey, honey! Don’t you own an entertainment company? Can’t you recommend a celebrity who would be a good fit for Luckin Coffee?" Xu Chenxi thought of the people she had contacted before and couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on. ’What a bunch of freaks! They all think they’re such a big deal!’

Wu Yun set his cup on the table, his furrowed brow relaxing. He thought of someone. Someone he had gotten to know... intimately.

Dilireba.

The woman had a habit of flirting with him, but she had quieted down recently, apparently because she went off to film a TV series.

Wu Yun recalled that after her TV series *Diamond Lover* aired, Dilireba became an icon for modern, urban women for a time. From then on, her career had been smooth sailing.

Wu Yun now considered himself a businessman, so naturally, he had to look at things from a comprehensive perspective. Having Dilireba do the endorsement and commercials would not only fulfill his promise to give her resources, but it would also allow him to sign a future star for a lower price before she became truly famous. It was a move that would kill multiple birds with one stone.

No sooner said than done.

Wu Yun immediately pulled out his phone and dialed Dilireba’s number.

"Hello! Mr. Busy! So you’ve finally decided to remember little old me?!" Dilireba’s voice was as crisp and clear as ever.

Wu Yun smiled. "Well, when I was looking for you, you were busy filming. And when you were free, I was swamped with work."

"So what does little old me owe the pleasure of your call today? I just finished filming my scenes and was about to get some rest!" Dilireba said with a laugh.

Wu Yun didn’t beat around the bush. "Remember how I promised to give you some resources?"

The moment the words left his mouth, Dilireba’s excited voice came through the phone. "Really? What TV series do you want me to be in?!"

"It’s not a TV series. Last time I asked if you wanted to be in *The Immortal Ascension*. It was a small role, but with a lot of screen time! But you said you were busy filming, so there was nothing I could do."

Wu Yun then changed the subject. "Have you heard of Luckin Coffee?"

"Of course! I’ve even tried it! It’s pretty good!" Dilireba wasn’t stupid; she immediately understood what Wu Yun was getting at. "President Wu, you mean you want me to shoot a commercial for Luckin Coffee?"

"Don’t tell me Luckin Coffee is also one of your businesses?" Dilireba asked, a little uncertainly.

"It is. And it’s not just a commercial, it’s an endorsement deal. If you’re interested, have your agent make a trip to Modu."

"Yes, yes, yes! I’m interested! I’ll tell her right away! I’ll have her come over right now!" Dilireba was ecstatic. This was the first endorsement deal she had ever been offered.

"No need to rush. I’ll send you a number in a bit. Just have your agent contact her."

Wu Yun chatted with Dilireba for a little while longer before hanging up.

Noticing Xu Chenxi’s curious gaze, Wu Yun chuckled. "Are you wondering how I know Dilireba?"

Xu Chenxi nodded. Seeing the slight smirk on Wu Yun’s lips, she instantly understood. "Is this the legendary ’casting couch’?"

"We just had a... deep exchange between friends! It’s not a ’casting couch’ situation! Anyway, I’ve sent you her number. Just pay her the standard market rate for the endorsement."

Not wanting to dwell on the matter, Wu Yun saw a message on his phone from Principal Wang: "President Wu! Should I arrange for some girls to accompany you tonight?"

The message sent a shiver down Wu Yun’s spine. He remembered Principal Wang’s hobbies—he had a particular fondness for female internet celebrities. The girls he’d arrange would almost certainly be from those circles.

So, Wu Yun replied, "No need! I’m bringing my own!"

Principal Wang immediately sent back an ’OK’ hand gesture, followed by, "Alright! I’ll be waiting for you then!"

Wu Yun made no effort to hide his phone while replying, so Xu Chenxi saw the entire conversation.

"Honey~ is this Principal Wang the famous one from online?" Xu Chenxi asked with a curious expression.

Wu Yun nodded. Without asking if Xu Chenxi had other plans, he stated directly, "You’re coming with me tonight."

Xu Chenxi agreed, silently apologizing to her best friend in her heart. ’I was planning to drag Wu Yun along to meet you tonight, but I guess it will have to wait for another time!’

Wu Yun placed his empty coffee cup on the table and stood up. "Let’s go! I want to see your offices."

The commotion of Wu Yun’s group standing up immediately drew the attention of everyone in the cafe. Some people even took out their phones to take pictures.

"Hey! Pretty lady, was that your boss just now?"

...

This was Wu Yun’s first time visiting the Luckin Coffee offices.

The Luckin Coffee office was located in an office building not far from the flagship store. The space wasn’t particularly large, only about 500 square meters. Since most of Luckin Coffee’s employees worked in the various stores, the number of office staff was relatively small, so this amount of space was just enough.

Wu Yun closed the door to Xu Chenxi’s office and said with a smile, "The soundproofing in your office is pretty good!"
