The next day, they began to rearrange once again, checking if anything was left behind.

Yang Xiuqin gave away all their household items, except for furniture, to the neighbor.

"Aunt Wang, we’re leaving this afternoon. You can take the food and spices from the kitchen to use in your house. Otherwise, they’ll go bad and attract mice."

"Alright, Aunt Xiuxin won’t be polite with you. Make sure to take good care."

After having lunch at noon, they found a tricycle to help carry the luggage.

Lv Beiguang passed by the post office and still made a call to the township to inform Wei Kaiyun about his train schedule, including the estimated time of getting off, so the family could make arrangements.

The family of four arrived at the train station, and people helped carry the luggage onto the platform, waiting on the side to assist with loading.

The two children saw so many people for the first time, their eyes couldn’t take it all in. They were extremely excited, having already napped on the way. Now they were very energized.

Yang Xiuqin stood on the platform, looking at everything around her. She was leaving again, not knowing when she could return.

Lv Beiguang looked up and saw her expression.

"Xiuxin, there will definitely be chances to come back in the future. I’ll work on it once we get back."

"Mm." Yang Xiuqin nodded with a smile. She trusted him.

Actually, she understood Lv Beiguang’s intention; he wanted to stay with the kids but also aimed to have his career.

Being able to accompany him in the future would be happiness.

After waiting for about an hour, the train finally arrived.

Lv Beiguang carried the two kids while Yang Xiuqin grabbed two small bags and got on the train. They found the compartment and arranged for Niang San to wait. He carried the luggage onboard, trip by trip, eventually giving an extra dollar to the tricycle helper, which indeed was quite helpful.

With so much stuff, aside from the package of daily necessities, everything else was placed on the upper berths, with bicycles and strollers leaned against the side.

Once everything was settled, the train had already started moving. The two children were very curious, so the couple each held one to let them watch outside the window.

The monotonous scenery soon made the two kids drowsy.

Lv Beiguang closed the compartment door, and Yang Xiuqin fed the children.

Wei Kaiyun received the message two days later and told the Red Army. Hence, they decided to drive a tractor to the city and made sure to inquire at the train station, waiting accordingly.

"Is this settled?" Old Yang raised his eyebrows and asked.

"It seems so. This is quite good, but Lv Beiguang has gotten pretty lucky with two more kids now."

Both laughed and continued working. This year, neither of them worked in the fields and were focused on the brewery, yet still couldn’t keep up with sales, which Han Xiangjun had already urged with two letters.

However, there really wasn’t much production capacity. Guodong and the other two worked fourteen hours a day, which was quite exhausting.

At night, Guodong informed his wife and Jing Chu of Dad’s approximate return time.

"Brother, I think Yang will definitely come back with him."

"Mm, with two kids. Right, is Jing Chen at Aunt Jiang’s house?"

"Yeah, with Er Bao. He’s not coming back." Li Xue was quite helpless as their son seemed to have grown up at someone else’s house. Regarding their cousins, he was indifferent.

"Brother, will Yang’s reputation suffer when he comes back?"

"What could be bad about it? Those who know are close to us; as for what others say, it should get better over time."

Jing Chu nodded, wishing for Dad to remarry again.

After confirming the relationship with Chaoyang, she hoped even more for Dad to have a family and a partner.

"I wonder what our younger siblings will be like?" Yang is not good-looking.

"I don’t know either. Jing Chu, you’re not unhappy, right?"

Jing Chu gave Guodong a sideways glance, "How could I be? I’m longing for Dad to have a companion. You got married. I and Chaoyang are planning to marry by the end of the year, so Dad would be left all alone."

"This is good now, with Yang and our siblings; Dad won’t be lonely."

Guodong was relieved. He thought the same as Jing Chu. Being able to have a family made him happy, not to shirk responsibilities, but truly happy.

He and Li Xue were deeply in love, experiencing the happiness and naturally wishing the same for Dad and his sister.

Yang Zhongyi came to Li Family Village tonight, spending more and more time here.

After the couple finished, "Xiao Zhen, I might go to the battlefield."

Tao YanZhen lazily squinted, listening to the words and suddenly turned, "When?" In families like this, they understood that orders were above all.

"Probably in November."

"Can I go with you?"

"Xiao Zhen, I don’t want you to go, it’s too dangerous there."

The call at home confirmed his guess.

"Are you sure?"

"Just my guess."

"I’ll train at the camp; I used to be good at first aid."

"Xiao Zhen, I hope you stay." Yang Zhongyi’s hand rested on Tao Yanzhen’s abdomen, "Maybe there’s already a child there. Xiao Zhen, I’ll be extra careful."

Tao YanZhen stopped talking. She knew even if she wanted to go, their families wouldn’t agree. As for a child, she too had that feeling.

But she thought about going there for her aspirations, and of course, she worried about Yang Zhongyi.

Both fell silent. When Zhongyi wanted her again, Tao YanZhen didn’t refuse.

Early the next day, Yang Zhongyi left. Now they were very tense, not being able to come out at will.

Tao YanZhen told Tao Chun about this, both siblings knew it was confidential.

"Brother, I want to go."

"No way." If that were the case, they wouldn’t be staying in this small place.

Tao YanZhen knew it would be like this, so she gave up the idea.

By the end of June, the wheat harvest began. Tao YanZhen was now confirmed to be pregnant. Yang Zhongyi hadn’t come over for almost a month, not knowing yet.

Tao Chun went to take leave for her; now Xiao Zhen really couldn’t have any issues, and the sisters-in-law stayed at home to nurture.

Wei Kaiyun, Old Yang, Guodong stopped working at the distillery, everyone mobilized for wheat harvesting.

The Red Army begrudged the time yet had to pick up Uncle Lv.

Lv Beiguang got off the train on the last day of June.

The Red Army felt relieved, no longer needing to wait here.

Lv Beiguang knew it was autumn harvest, so he didn’t linger in the city, going straight home.

Yang Xiuqin entered Li Family Village once more, filled with emotion, not expecting to return again. But fate is like that. She was back, bringing her children and her man.
