Han Xiangjun laughed loudly, “It’s okay. I know you are a good kid.”

“Uncle Han, Yang Run Tai told my parents he likes my sister and wants to pursue her.”

Han Xiangjun’s face initially held a smile, but it vanished immediately after hearing Shi Xian’s words.

“Yang Run Tai? Feifei?”

Shi Xian nodded, “I originally didn’t want to tell you, but Yang Run Tai comes to our house for dinner every night. I’m afraid you’ll be startled.”

Han Xiangjun slammed the table, startling Shi Xian.

“A toad wishing to eat swan meat, dreaming? Your dad let him come to your house?”

“My dad, Uncle Yang, Brother Jianbin, my brother, and I, we take turns beating Yang Run Tai. But he’s thick-skinned, even after getting beat, he comes by every day. Even his parents came over and made my dad furious.”

Han Xiangjun was now gritting his teeth. This Yang Run Tai kid has some nerve.

Inside, he blamed his son even more, for not taking action despite being told Feifei is the best.

Shang Zhenkun shook his head on the side, finding no one decent in this situation. What’s all this about? Isn’t it normal for girls to be pursued and liked?

“Shi Xian, did you give him a good beating?”

“I did, my dad and Uncle Yang hated him the most.”

Han Xiangjun was still gritting his teeth, not thinking about his mess or worrying about Wei Kaiyun refusing to raise the child.

“No way. That brat isn’t worthy of Feifei. I don’t agree, I don’t agree.”

Shang Zhenkun drank tea on the side, saying, “Then who is worthy of Feifei?”

That question truly stumped Han Xiangjun, as he genuinely thought no one was worthy of Feifei.

“But still no, how old is Feifei? How dare that brat have ideas? Who gave him the courage and confidence?”

Shang Zhenkun decided to ignore him; none of the three were normal.

Wei Kaiyun took off from work on time today, but got called back midway. He was frustrated, as he wasn’t used to the lack of freedom.

Jiang Xinyu came back by car with the baby. Han Xiangjun was so irresponsible for dropping off the child with her.

At home, he stared at Yang Run Tai like a five-eyed rooster.

The children saw the baby in their mother’s arms.

“Mom, whose is it?” Shi Xian leaned over, looking at the somewhat dark-skinned baby.

Jiang Xinyu had no good answer, “Get away, the child is sleeping.”

Han Xiangjun couldn’t care less about that child now. He glared at his son, frustrated by his lack of progress, and glared at Yang Run Tai, dreaming of having his daughter.

Yang Run Tai hadn’t anticipated Han Xiangjun would return so early.

He knew pursuing Feifei meant these three old men were the biggest obstacles. Two were already in the open; only the last one remained.

He thought Feifei would get used to him, but Han Xiangjun surprisingly came back.

“Uncle Han, Aunt Wei is holding a baby.”

“What’s it to you?”

Well, he was thoroughly disliked. He needed his dad to step in. He never realized how important his dad was for handling Wei Kaiyun and Han Xiangjun.

Feifei curiously followed her mom into the house.

Jiang Xinyu saw her daughter enter, “Feifei, go find a new basin and get some hot water; we need to bathe this child, she’s sweaty from crying.”

Feifei quickly ran out, returning within five minutes with a basin, a towel over her shoulder.

The mother-daughter duo hadn’t bathed a baby in years. Initially rusty, they soon became accustomed to it.

“Mom, where’s this little girl from? Found her?”

“Your Uncle Han’s.”

“Uncle Han’s?”

“Yes, but I heard from Xiao Hai that the woman has been dealt with.”

“So only the child remains?”

Jiang Xinyu nodded, fetching baby clothes from her space for the little girl.

“Mom, I have a bad feeling that Uncle Han might want you to raise this child.”

Jiang Xinyu sighed, having anticipated this.

“What else can be done? Let Uncle Han and your dad deal with it. I’m fine with it, raising a child isn’t a problem.”

At this moment, Tingting entered as well, “Mom, whose child is it?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

Tingting couldn’t keep things to herself. If she found out now, it would be awkward for Han Xiangjun later; better let him tell the family himself.

“Mom, is this a little girl?”

“Yes, she’s not pretty.” Tingting tried to tease her, but Jiang Xinyu gave her a little smack.

“She just stopped crying, be good. Stay in here, I’ll find the bottle and formula; she’ll need feeding soon.”

The two sisters watched the little girl lying on the bed.

“Sis, isn’t mom planning to raise this child?”

Feifei shook her head, “How would I know?”

Feifei was somewhat worried. The family hadn’t had a young child in ages; mom would be tired, and dad would be in a bad mood.

She heard mom and dad’s desire for another child, but mom refused. Now there’s one more at home, and dad might be unhappy.

Yang Run Tai in the living room stared at the doorway, hoping Feifei would come out.

Previously, before things were made clear, he could restrain himself; now he just wanted to see that little girl who didn’t give him a good face.

“Yang Run Tai, you better behave; I absolutely don’t agree.”

“Uncle Yang, you’ll agree.”

“Bullshit. I disagree.”

Yang Run Tai felt troubled by Han Xiangjun’s unreasonable behavior. The three mountains need his dad to help move them.

He truly couldn’t afford to provoke them.

Han Xiangjun saw Jiang Xinyu come out but heard no baby’s cry, feeling relieved, yet he dared not face Jiang Xinyu.

Dinner was ready, but Wei Kaiyun hadn’t returned yet.

“Let’s eat; no need to wait for him.”

Wei Kaiyun truly had good luck. As everyone sat down, he returned.

Upon seeing Han Xiangjun back, he smiled.

Han Xiangjun thought to himself if only he could keep smiling once he knows.

As everyone waited for him to eat, Wei Kaiyun came back after washing up and sat down, hearing the baby’s cry, stunned. Why would there be a child at home?

He looked questioningly at Jiang Xinyu, who put down her chopsticks.

“You all eat; don’t worry about me. I’ll go take a look.”

Seeing Wei Kaiyun attempt to rise, Jiang Xinyu said, “Finish eating; talk after the meal.”

She entered the room afterward. The little girl likely wet herself, having just eaten not long ago.
