Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 265: God of Conflict
The entire space was immediately washed white. Jacob had decided that he was not going to fight in the darkness, and as such, had caused the expanse to be filled with brightness.
The crowd gasped. Romstad adjusted his monocle, still somewhat in shock at what Jacob did in the previous arena. These arenas where they fought were real places across the galaxy, and even though most people did not understand what it was that Jacob did, Romstad saw it rather clearly. This young man, who was supposedly human, had healed the entire solar system of the human galaxy and further expanded it by creating a bunch of new alien species.
“Could there really be anyone that powerful? Is he a god incarnate?” Romstad muttered to himself as he stroked his beard in mild bewilderment.
And now, the boy had gone ahead and caused an entirely dark dimension to be brightened up in one fell swoop.
What really was he?
Still, he watched.
…
Jacob was soon face-to-face with his opponent, a frail old man. The man looked to be around the same age as Mr. Okinoze. He never opened his eyes, and his face was covered in warts.
The man had a long white beard that traveled all the way down to his knees and a bald head. He wore a colorful robe that exposed nothing but his aged knuckles.
The staff he held was normal-looking, as though it were meant only to hold him up from falling, as he was a rather frail individual.
The tapping sounds of the staff were all that could be heard throughout the space. Jacob knew now that the terrain only favored whichever warrior appeared first, after a light conversation with Uga beforehand.
TAP!
TAP!
TAP!
The sound increased significantly as the man inched closer to Jacob, painfully slowly. The man walked as though he had all the time in the world, which was fine with the young man, as he was in no rush.
“Ahh… I have been waiting for you… you are a rather comely young man. Reminds me of myself in my prime.” The man opened with a rather familiar-sounding statement, as though he and Jacob had met before or had known each other for years.
But Jacob had only one question for him.
“Why are you here, in the Tower, undergoing all these trials? Aren’t you a little too…” Jacob paused. He actually didn’t wonder why such a frail old man would partake in such a grueling task, because he could see the power that resided within this man. It was akin to a large dragon sleeping within a small feline.
Jacob was impressed.
“Ahh… you can say it, Sonny. I’m old, but just like you, I have my reasons for coming here, which I won’t disclose.” The man responded, unbeknownst to him that Jacob had already appraised him and found out every secret that he had decided to keep hidden.
Jacob had thought that Arafat’s powers were troublesome, but this man… this man was a real problem. After appraising him, Jacob slicked his hair back once again and allowed it to bounce on his shoulders.
“You see… I would much rather fight in the dark…” the man continued as he dropped his staff to the side and opened his robe, revealing a small frame wearing a black top and a pair of tight white pants. The man threw his robe to the side and picked up his staff again, without looking at Jacob even once. He hit an abrasive pose, suggesting that he was ready to fight. “But since you have decided to brighten the place up, I’ll follow your vibe.”
The man hit a smug smile and opened one eye to look at Jacob. That was the first time he opened his eyes. Jacob wondered what it was with these older men who just decided to leave their eyes closed.
He had read and watched about it in books and anime, but he had never thought he would meet people who just deliberately decided to keep their eyes closed at all times. It was rather uncomfortable.
“Yeah, I don’t much like the darkness,” Jacob said as he readied himself as well. There wasn’t much to do, as the young man was shirtless and had nothing but a pair of undergarments on.
“Fair warning, I will kill you if I have to,” the man said flatly. “But don’t fret, I have also died a couple of times. I will describe it as endlessness. And you can control completely which luxury you want to have in abundance.”
Jacob thought this man was batshit crazy.
“What makes you think I’m ready to die that quickly? I just stepped into my prime.”
The pale-skinned young master had a smug smile on his face as he responded to the man’s threatening words. They were both facing each other in an expanse of space that was completely white.
They both stood not more than 15 meters away from each other, powerful auras exuding from both men.
…
“Let’s see how he escapes this one,” a man muttered to himself from amidst the crowd. He sat tall on one of the seats designated to constellations. A dark crow with bloodshot eyes rested upon his left shoulder, while a white crow with golden eyes rested upon his right.
These crows on either shoulder signified The Inner Conflict. As soon as he said those words, the dark crow responded.
“Krawww! Master! He is certainly not winning. Zha Feng will definitely kill that young man child.”
Not long after that statement, the white crow on the right shoulder responded.
“Do not speak about killing children, that is wrong. Master! Is there no way to stop this? It certainly looks as though the boy will die at Zha Feng’s hand.”
“Silence!” the man ordered. His teeth were dark yellow, his hair was pitch black and fell all the way down to his shoulders, and an old eyepatch was slung over his right eye.
This man was the God of Conflict, Moralus, as signified by the crows that never left his side.
