Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 270: God-Tier Necromancer
“We had a deal. I’ve given you what you want, no more.” Jacob responded, his tone flat and calm, like a wave lapping on the ocean bed.
Elyssara merely clicked her tongue, and with a bedazzled spin, was gone from his sight. Hopefully, he would not have to see her again.
“Uga, I’m ready to fight now,” Jacob said, loosening his muscles as he manifested another black portal before him. Such things had become second nature to him at this point, considering he needed the portals to move everywhere in the Tower.
“You are free to do so, Jacob,” Uga responded, placing its hands behind its back.
Uga took a significant step back and allowed Jacob to walk into the portal first, following right behind but ending up in a different spot from where the young man was.
This was how Jacob wanted it. He would only get to see Uga when he eventually left the battle arena, at all points, and Uga was satisfied with it.
The young man had learned all he needed to learn from the Meereen, and all that was left was finally completing the Tower and making it back to his world.
…
Jacob stepped into the arena. This was a different sight for him, as the entire place was washed in an ethereal bluish glow. Crystals as tall as castles stood on the ground, emitting bright colors of all kinds and a supernatural aura. The entire ground was covered in blue sand, and the crystals filled the entire place as Jacob looked over them.
He found the place to be more of a tourist center than a battlefield, but on second thought, the Tower made its own rules, and if the Tower thought it best for him to fight in a place such as this, then there was no problem with it.
Jacob moved, brushing his fingers across the crystals, causing them to resonate and reverberate with each touch, as though they were alive and breathing.
‘That’s kinda weird,’ Jacob mused inwardly. He could immediately sense another presence on the terrain and looked northward.
“Welcome! I bet you’re wondering what this place is…” A voice called out to him from the distance.
“Oh no, I know perfectly well what this place is. It’s the Crystal World,” Jacob said in response, running his hand through his hair and dusting himself off.
“You’re smart, I’ll give it to you.” The person teleported a few paces ahead, and then did it again.
No. This was not a person. This creature was completely blue, with white hair that grew not just out of its head, but all down its back, all the way to its tailbone.
This creature had the face of a human, but its back was hunched a little, and it stood tall.
“This is my hometown, but sadly, I am the last of my race. Which means I have nothing to fight for. This should scare you.” The creature smiled, just like a human would when they believed they had the upper hand.
“Why would I be scared? I’ve faced scarier things than you.” Jacob’s words echoed, seemingly bouncing off the crystals that stood tall in this so-called world.
The place was devoid of buildings, structures, or technology, from what the young man gathered. All that existed in this world was the blue sand and the crystals.
“Do you know why we have sponsors?” The creature asked, spreading its arms outward, bathing in the glow that the crystals gave off. It seemed as though this creature got its power directly from the crystals. “Because it gives us certain advantages. With a powerful constellation sponsoring you, you get to use weapons. And best of all, you get to fight only in conditions that favor you.”
The creature answered its question without even waiting for Jacob’s response.
“How do you always have the battle conditions in your favor? Certainly, some arena would put you at a disadvantage.” Jacob furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes.
“Tch. It’s easy. Even after I win, I never get to leave the Crystal World. All my opponents meet me here.”
The creature responded with a smirk.
In that moment, Jacob knew that the Tower was weird, and just like every area of life, there was favoritism and preferential treatment. This discovery only made him want to leave even quicker.
“That’s interesting. Funnily enough, I also have an advantage on this terrain.” Jacob smirked smugly, the corner of his lips deliberately curled.
“Your words are of no meaning to me. I will crush you like the lower life form you are and go about my business.”
…
The creature, without any hesitation, raised a pair of glowing forearms in the air and closed its eyes. The ground began to rumble, shaking rather violently, as though an earthquake was upon them.
The crystals started to glow, vibrating more than usual, as though a consciousness had grown within them. They moved now to surround Jacob, about fifteen of them moving around him in a circle, vibrating frantically and glowing in bright colors.
“The second you stepped in here, you should have bowed to me. You are not worthy of standing before a god summoner like me.” The creature said and started laughing maniacally, with its hands still raised in the air.
Just as it concluded its rather haughty statement, the middle of the crystals started to crystallize, forming into shards and creating something of a hole.
Out of these holes stepped beings that looked just like humans, but twice their size. The creature did not lie when it said that it summoned gods.
In less than 10 seconds, Jacob was surrounded by 15 god corpses.
The appraisal of the blue creature had told him that it was a god-tier necromancer, and with the display that currently unfolded before his eyes, there was no doubt about it.
Now he was appraising 15 different corpses of dead gods. 10 males and 5 females.
He appraised them all and found them possessing all sorts of annoying abilities.
But it was no matter. This was not a challenge he could not handle.
