Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities

Chapter 271: “Privileged Summoner”

  • Next Chapter

Jacob was surrounded by 15 gods. Albeit from their appearance, they did not seem to be in control of their cognitive abilities, or even alive.

These gods were part of the reason that the race that resided within the Crystal World were extinct, bar Xtheva, which was the name of the creature that now stood face-to-face with the white-haired young man.

Jacob found out through looking through Xtheva’s past that he had been a victim of an extinction-level event that saw gods crashing upon their planet like asteroids. For every few that fell, about a quarter of the Crystal World was destroyed and millions were wiped out.

With their descent came a planet-wide awakening, which saw a bunch of Crystal World dwellers awaken several abilities and powers.

Xtheva, however, awakened a unique ability that allowed him to possess the bodies of these fallen gods using only his mind and willpower. He could therefore use them to do his bidding.

At first, he was unhappy about the state of the Crystal World, and therefore he lashed out on his own people, the remaining dwellers, the awakened ones.

He single-handedly wiped them all out, leaving only himself in perpetual loneliness and solitude. After decades, he decided to put his powers to good use, to heal his world. Since there was no one else left, he would not live in ruins.

Luckily, there were gods among his army that possessed such qualities, capable of such a feat. But none of them could recreate his entire race, and as such, it mattered not if he were repairing the world or not. He was still left utterly alone at the end of it all.

…

“Kill him, in the most brutal way possible.” Xtheva licked its lips as it issued the order.

The gods followed suit, lunging at Jacob almost immediately. The young man figured that if this creature was using its will to control these fallen god corpses, then this battle was over before it even began.

Just as the gods all dashed at the young man, all wielding their weapons in hand, the young man smirked. He raised a single hand, and in that moment, everything seemed to slow down exponentially until it all came to a dead stop.

Jacob had frozen time around the gods that were now locked in the air, weapons drawn, some of them with very passionate expressions.

These were not enough to take him out, not nearly so. The young man calmly walked out of the circle of crystals, moving at a rhythmic pace towards Xtheva, who had an astonished expression on its face.

“I said KILL HIM!” The creature growled, its forearms glowing even more brightly and ferociously as it surrounded Jacob with even more crystals, causing more and more god corpses to fall out of them.

But with each one that fell out, Jacob simply just paused the time around them, rendering them unmoving, completely stagnant.

Xtheva looked to be under duress at this point. The more he exerted his powers, the more useless they proved to be. Jacob was wiping out his entire, unkillable army without even batting an eyelid.

“Bow to you? Ha! Laughable. You should bow to me. I stand at the pinnacle of existence. You’re just a privileged summoner,” Jacob said as he inched closer with practiced grace, hands locked behind his back.

Xtheva groaned in surprise and then turned around to try to escape, but quickly found that its feet were glued rather painfully to the ground. Much as it tried to flee, its feet just would not budge.

Jacob, with his mind, had simply made it so that Xtheva would not be able to move from its spot and would not be able to withstand what came next.

“Wait! Wait! Let’s make a deal! We can resolve THIS!” The creature pushed its arms outward now.

In that moment, Jacob saw just how fragile the Crystal World dwellers were, and the reason why they were almost completely wiped out as a result of a few gods falling onto their planet.

“Funny, that’s not what you were saying just a few moments ago.” Jacob chuckled, his eyes glowing rather sinisterly for the first time in a while as he stared at the creature.

“Hear me out! Hear me out!” Xtheva begged.

“How did you even make it to this level if you fear death so much? You disgust me,” Jacob inquired, a clear look of disdain plastered across his face.

…

Jacob had heard enough. He had already come up with the most aesthetically pleasing way to get rid of Xtheva. Jacob smiled faintly as he replayed the scene over in his mind.

He walked up to Xtheva, and with nothing but a mere thought, a portal opened up just directly above his head. It was not black, and it was not distorted. It was merely a circle that spun in the air, highlighting a bridge between the Crystal World and Kalgin.

Xtheva stared into this circle, utterly speechless as something emerged from it. It was large, it was green, and it had the sharpest fangs of any beast it had ever seen.

This creature had a sinister expression by default and had a head larger than 20 Crystal World dwellers put together.

Before the creature could even say a single word, this creature spat out flames hot enough to melt any steel known throughout the galaxy, right at its body.

Xtheva wailed in excruciating pain. Its flesh was being peeled off graphically as it was bathed in hot flames. Raijin made sure not to burn the creature to a crisp, as Jacob did not want it to end so quickly.

The young man watched as this creature writhed in severe pain, its blue flesh melting off its bone as the flames burned almost endlessly.

“HEELP!! HELP ME!” Xtheva screamed, but due to the Tower rules, not a single soul would intervene.

The scenes were even too graphic for some of the regular viewers, who turned their faces away as they couldn’t bear to watch some creature being roasted alive like a Thanksgiving meal.
