Mrs. Fu was very happy.

However, she was quite shocked when she came across two large cuts of meat, weighing over ten pounds in total.

"How is this meat so fresh?"

Fu Mingxue didn’t miss a beat. "I had someone pre-order it for me here. They delivered it when I got off the train."

"Still, you bought way too much."

Fu Mingxue immediately said, "You can put it in the refrigerator."

The refrigerator was already unplugged.

’Plug in the fridge just for over ten pounds of meat?’

"There are two cuts of meat, aren’t there? Take one over to the Qin family."

She had brought some things for her in-laws as well.

"By the way, Mom, nothing else has happened at home, right?"

"No, everything’s been fine. The two kids got sick once last month—they ran a bit of a fever, but I brewed them some medicine, and they were all better the next day."

Fu Mingxue was a little surprised. "Mom, you didn’t tell me about that."

Mrs. Fu rolled her eyes at her.

"How was I supposed to tell you? You didn’t call or write, and I don’t know how to write very well. It’s too much trouble to ask someone to write a letter for me. Besides, they were all better the next day, weren’t they? It was no big deal."

Fu Mingxue looked apologetic. "Mom, I’m sorry. That must have been tough on you."

’Taking care of the two kids is manageable on a normal day, but if they get sick—they must be a real handful.’

"The kids aren’t fussy, so it was no trouble at all! And I’m in great health. That little pill you gave me last time worked wonders. I feel like my body’s been in excellent shape ever since I took it."

Fu Mingxue thought to herself, ’How could it not? That was a system reward.’

"By the way, Mingxue, do you have any more of those little pills? If you do, give one to your parents-in-law and one to the Qin family’s grandmother."
