After Han Ruochen received the money, the first thing she did was to pay the hospital fees. The entire five thousand yuan was paid at once. She initially wanted to keep the remaining money with her but when she thought of her mother’s character, she gritted her teeth and then went to look for the men who came to ask for their money back in the morning.
Those people seemed to be in need of money. It was a good thing that when she went to look for them, they hadn’t left the county and were staying in a small inn after paying for the accommodation. Unfortunately, these grown-up men did not have enough money to open different rooms and could only open two rooms at most.
When Han Ruochen came to look for them, she could not help but feel sorry for them. She used to think that Meng Yunhan was unreasonable to her family and children but now she understood that other than Yun Xinye and Han Ziyan, her mother did not put anyone in her eyes. As Han Ruochen bowed to each one of them, she returned the money to every person according to the list that she had made earlier, by the time she straightened up, Han Ruochen felt like her waist was about to break.
When the group of men saw how honest Han Ruochen was, they could not help but feel a bit guilty. A man’s eyes turned red and he asked softly, "How is Old Han? Did you...did you get enough money to perform his surgery?"
"I did. As for how my father is doing, I don’t know but I trust that he will be fine. The doctors are skilled and the surgery is not complicated." Han Ruochen was in a hurry to return the money and had no idea what was going on at the hospital but she had trust in the doctors. The surgery was not a serious matter as long as the money was paid and since she had paid the money, the nursing staff would definitely treat her father with care.
What’s more, she was worried that if she stayed at the hospital, then Meng Yunhan would try to snatch the money in her hands. After all, she had nothing in her pockets at the moment, and after tonight, no one would be willing to lend her any money at all. Since that was the case, Meng Yunhan would certainly come up with a way to take all the money in her hands.
"Why don’t...." Someone saw the tiredness on Han Ruochen’s face and gritted his teeth. He could see that Han Ruochen was suffering when he thought about how this young woman was going through so many things at once. Even though Han Ruochen was steady and mature, she was still young. Just because she was an honest child, was it right for them to force her to bear the burdens of her mother’s debt? They should have forced Meng Yunhan to repay them the money.

"There is no need, uncle. I know that you care for our family but you all have your struggles as well. I know that you all are very close to my father and if not for the troubles at home, you would have never come to ask me for money in such a situation. It is only right we repay the money that we owe you. Although I am young, I am much clearer about the right and wrong ways of society. I haven’t done anything wrong. This money comes from legitimate sources and I will have to pay the person back very soon. There is no problem with it...it is clean."
Han Ruochen knew what the men were thinking. After all, it was not a small feat to collect so much money at once.
"Aye... if you think so, then we will keep the money." One of the men gave a troubled sigh.
"Ruochen, how is your mother? She did not make things difficult for you, did she?" One of the men could not help but question, as Meng Yunhan’s unreasonable actions had left a mark on his memories.
