Such a terrible thing happened in the family, and Meng Yunhan, as their mother, only knew how to expect Han Ruochen and the rest to borrow the money needed for Han Yichen’s surgery. Maybe Meng Yunhan was the only wife and mother in this world to be capable of doing such a thing.
"Alright, don’t worry about your father too much. He will be fine," the worker seemed to be very understanding of the situation. He glanced at Meng Yunhan and did not know what to say to the woman. Earlier, he felt it was weird that Meng Yunhan, as Han Yichen’s wife, was calmer than the rest, but now he suddenly understood the reason. It was probably because she knew that in the end, this matter had nothing to do with her. Even if she did not go out to borrow money, someone else would do it for her.
He looked at Han Ruochen, whose eyes were obviously red from crying, and sighed heavily. He wondered what kind of sins these kids had committed for Meng Yunhan to become their mother.
Han Ruochen ignored her mother and then went to sit in the resting area. She really had no intention of talking to her mother, or else she was worried that she would throttle her mother to death! Fortunately, Meng Yunhan seemed to have understood that she had pushed Han Ruochen too much and did not come to cause trouble for her anymore.

Thus, when a military jeep came to a stop in front of the entrance of the hospital, Han Ruochen rushed out at once. She did not even give her mother a chance to ask her where she was going and marched straight toward the jeep. However, when she arrived, the person who alighted from the jeep was not Zhai Muchen but another soldier.
The soldier was stunned when he saw a pretty woman walking toward him with red-rimmed eyes. For a second, he forgot why he came here.
It was only when Han Ruochen came to a stop in front of him that he snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "Are you Han Ruochen?"
"Yes."
"Then here take this envelope. Officer Zhai sent me here. He asked me to tell you to keep this envelope well and not give it to anyone else." The soldier took out a thick envelope and passed it to Han Ruochen. "Officer Zhai had to go on a three-day mission, so he is unable to come here at the moment. He asked you not to worry about your father, and if there is anything urgent, then you can call him anytime; he will try his best to help you out."
"Thank you." Han Ruochen bowed in front of her and felt a slight twinge in her waist. She winced softly. She had no idea how many times she had bowed in front of people today. She had not only bowed to apologise but also to show her gratitude. But other than that, she had no idea what to do at the moment.
"There...there is no need to bow in front of me..." The soldier said in a flustered manner. He worked with the soldiers in the camp, and they were all tall and burly. None of them was easy to deal with. This was his first time running into a young and petite lady, and the soldier could not help but feel shy. He did not expect that such a cold-faced beauty was actually so polite. She actually bowed in front of him for something so simple as delivering a message.
The soldier’s face was slightly embarrassed as he peeked at Han Ruochen’s face and asked, "Do you...Do you need further assistance?"
"No, thank you for making this special trip here. I apologise for the trouble that you had to go through." Han Ruochen held the envelope tightly. This money was her father’s life-saving money. She could not lose them.
"If...if there is nothing else there, then I will take my leave." The soldier felt even more embarrassed when he saw how polite Han Ruochen was to him. He was not used to such a thing. After he boarded the jeep, he hurried away, but as he reached halfway to the camp, he could not help it; he suddenly realised that he had not even asked the young lady for her name. "So stupid!" He smacked himself on the forehead and chided himself softly. "So stupid! How could I forget to ask her name when I had such a good opportunity?"
He had never seen a woman as beautiful as Han Ruochen. What’s more, he stayed in the army camp most of the time and never had an opportunity to get close to a woman as beautiful as Han Ruochen. It was rare for him to meet a woman as pretty as the one just now. And to think that he actually wasted such an opportunity! How could he have done such a dumb thing? He was really an idiot.
The soldier could not help but hit the steering wheel twice. Oh dear heavens! He wished he could turn back time and introduce himself to the young lady.
If the young soldier were not worried about his own love affairs, then he would have tried to make the connection between Zhai Muchen and Han Ruochen.
