When he wakes up and sees you, he will realise that you are more filial than his own children. Then he will treat you better than those brats!"
Han Ruochen and the rest had already solved the biggest problem for her. Now all she needed was to make Han Ziyan keep vigil by Han Yichen’s side and make it look like the poor girl was the one taking care of him the entire night. Meng Yunhan did not believe that Han Yichen would not be moved. In this way, Meng Yunhan had actually arranged for the greatest benefit for Han Ziyan with the lowest effort.
If Old Madam Han knew that Meng Yunhan was actually showing such concern because she wanted to act play such a devious scheme, she would have been so angry that she would have beaten the woman to death.
"Mom! You are so clever!" Han Ziyan realised that she was not skilled in the way of the world. It was still her mother who made plans for her. She was right; if Han Yichen saw her first, even if he felt dissatisfied, he would know that she was the one who took care of him the entire night and treat her well in the future. She nodded and accepted her mother’s arrangements without any fuss. "Then I will stay with my dad. Don’t worry mom, you go and take some rest. I will take care of dad here and make sure that nothing goes wrong. You can leave everything to me."
"I have absolute faith in you. Remember to keep vigil by your dad’s side; he might be your cheap adoptive father but given the conditions, he is your best choice, we cannot let him get out of control. If something happens, then make sure to tell the doctors, or else things will become troublesome."
Han Ziyan nodded but then she hesitated and asked, "Mom, where did Han Ruochen get so much money from? Do we still have some money saved at home?" If so she wanted a share of it. She did not even get a yuan from the ten thousand yuan that were saved at home the last time.
"Impossible." Meng Yunhan shook her head and refused. "Your dad has been keeping a tight rein on money ever since I took out the entire savings. There is not even a penny extra saved at home and I have been by your father’s side for so long. I know how much he earns. There is no way he can earn five thousand yuan in just a small period. Don’t forget that his entire life savings were a mere ten thousand." Meng Yunhan scoffed disdainfully.
However, her response only made Han Ziyan scrunch her brows even more. "Then how are we going to pay the money back?"
