Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Chapter 372: A Job Done Too Well

Chapter 372: A Job Done Too Well

Han Ruochen could not control her temper when she thought about how Han Ziyan had been taking advantage of the fact that Meng Yunhan was biased toward her the entire life. She pointed her finger at Han Ziyan’s nose and shouted, "You better pray that my father is alright or I will never let you off!"

"Why are you angry at me? It was unintentional! You are scolding me as if I had done some heinous crime. You all have no idea how hard it was on me. I was up for the entire night and then I had to stay up for another day and night; of course, I will fall asleep. It was easy on all of you; you could go ahead and sleep while I was used as free labour. I also don’t want anything to happen to dad, how can you lose your temper with me? I....I ...you are wronging me!" Han Ziyan was also scared and angry. What happened?

Her father was alright just a few minutes ago; how come he was suddenly pushed into ICU?

No one said a word. Because Han Ruochen and the rest knew that even if they fought to death with Han Ziyan, the shameless woman would never admit that she had done anything wrong. This was a skill that she had learnt from Meng Yunhan very well.

Han Ziyan looked at her siblings who were staring at her as if she had committed some grave sin and did not know what to say. She felt like crying and, in the end, did not even bother to stop the tears from flowing. Why was she being treated like this? It was not like she did it intentionally. Instead of feeling sorry for her condition, they were actually blaming her. They truly had no heart at all.

Just as Han Ziyan was busy feeling sorry for herself, her stomach started to rumble.

Her face turned red in embarrassment and only then did Han Ziyan realise that she had not eaten for two days straight. Maybe because she felt ashamed, she forgot about crying and said to Han Ruochen, "Did you bring something to eat? I am hungry."

"You still have the mood to eat?" Han Xuehan questioned with a dark expression. Their father was in danger and this woman— she actually wanted to eat? Han Xuehan’s temper was not as bad as Han Ruochen’s. But even she could not help but feel upset when she saw Han Ziyan acting so reckless. Their dad had been pushed into the ICU for another surgery and Han Ziyan wanted to eat?

Han Ziyan flushed red in shame but she did not think that there was anything wrong with what she did. She had been keeping vigil for an entire day and night and no one sent her a single meal. What was wrong with her asking for something to eat? She glared at Han Xuehan with tears in her eyes and quibbled, "Elder sister, I know that you are upset with me but there is no need to target me like this. I didn’t eat a single bun for the entire day... What’s wrong with asking for food?"

As she spoke, she did not forget to squeeze out a few tears.

"You are really sick!" Han Ruochen was disgusted. It was bad enough that Han Ziyan had not taken her responsibility seriously, but now she was also spreading the scent of tea here. She was so disgusted that she picked up the lunchbox that she had brought with her and handed it to Zhai Muchen. "Here, Brother Muchen. You should eat something to pad your stomach. You rushed all the way here and did not even get enough time to rest. Don’t stand on ceremony with us; if not for you, we wouldn’t even know that our dad’s condition was no longer stable."

She brought so much porridge with her because she wanted to let her father and Han Ziyan eat a decent meal but now she would rather throw this porridge in a trash bin than give it to Han Ziyan.

"You..." Han Ziyan was furious. She had been hungry for so long that she was starving and yet instead of feeling sorry for her, Han Ruochen was actually acting like a demon here. She wanted to snatch the lunchbox and only then did she realise that there was someone else in the room. She raised her head and looked at Zhai Muchen.

Though the man looked indifferent, he was really good-looking. He was the kind of man women would die to sleep with just once. From his chiselled jaw to his tall stature, there was nothing wrong with him. Her eyes could not help but brighten. What’s more, Zhai Muchen had this air of righteousness around him which made anyone standing close to him feel safe. This quality alone made women like Han Ziyan want to depend on him.

Seeing the besotted look on Han Ziyan’s face, the three Han siblings’ faces darkened. This woman really knew no shame! She was so blatant that even if Zhai Muchen wanted to ignore her, he could not. He stepped back and turned his gaze away. He did not want the woman to think that he was interested in her, as he had seen many women acting like this in front of him.

Instead, he opened the lunchbox and started gulping down the porridge. The truth was that he was really hungry as well. After receiving Han Ruochen’s call, he wanted to come to look for her on his own but at that time, he was asked to complete a mission. So he could only ask for a subordinate to bring the money to Han Ruochen.

He knew that Han Ruochen’s mother was not dependable and her siblings would not be of much help with their current conditions. So, he finished his mission as soon as possible and rushed back to the city. He did not even take a sip of water throughout the entire journey.

Anyway, he could see through Han Ziyan with one look. He knew what kind of person she was, so there was no need to spoil her any more. Her mother had done that job quite well.
