Chapter 378: Stupidity To The Max

Chapter 378: Stupidity To The Max

Meng Yunhan’s eyes flashed. She wanted to defend herself but her mind was buzzing. What was she supposed to do now? She clearly planned everything very well so why was this happening? As if realising where the things went wrong, she turned to look at Teacher Jiang. Ever since she arrived at the school, he was the only one who went in and out of the room.

"You! You were the one who called them?" Meng Yunhan spoke in a questioning tone but there was a hint of certainty in her tone. Even though she did not state it clearly nor did she accuse Teacher Jiang, it was clear that she suspected him.

However, Teacher Jiang was not the slightest bit troubled. He blinked his eyes and calmly stated, "Yes, I was the one who called your family, Mrs Han. After all, Han Jianyou is a promising student and your husband has clearly stated that he is going to support his son’s education. Your actions are confusing and contradictory to what your husband said and we, as the teachers, need to clear the matter up before things become problematic."

"After all, if your husband later confronts us, how are we going to explain this matter to him?" Though Teacher Jiang spoke politely, Meng Yunhan felt like her dignity was challenged. After all, she was Han Jianyou’s mother. Even if she went against her husband’s decision, what was wrong with it?

"you—I am his mother! What is wrong with me deciding what he does or not?" Meng Yunhan had hardly finished speaking when Old Madam Han reached out and pinched her on the arm.

"What is wrong with it? Meng Yunhan, oh Meng Yunhan! Touch your heart and tell me how many times you have stepped up and done anything for your children? Ever since they were born, Yichen has been the one who raised them. Even your sister in law has the right to say that she has given them more maternal love than you did!" Old Madam Han hurriedly interjected. She could not listen to Meng Yunhan’s shameless words.

So what if she gave birth to Han Jianyou? Had she ever raised him? Did she even change his diaper when he was a baby? It was her! This old woman, who raised her grandchildren with the help of her second daughter-in-law. Every time something happened, her son would come looking for them and then the two of them would sort things out for him.

How could there be such a good thing? Meng Yunhan did not want to fulfil her responsibility as her children’s mother but she was quick to use her identity as one. Old Madam Han snorted. She then turned to look at the principal and Teacher Jiang before doing a ninety-degree bow. "I apologise for the commotion this woman has caused. My eldest son’s hospital fees have been arranged by my grandchildren and we no longer need to worry about his medical fees. Jianyou will continue studying as usual. Again, I am sorry for the trouble that our family has caused you and your staff."

Principal Ji raised his hand and waved. "There is no need to apologise, Old Madam." He then turned to look at Teacher Jiang, who rushed to help Old Madam Han.

"The principal is right, Grandma Han. We did not take this incident to heart; after all, something happened at your family and Mrs Han was startled because of this incident. Sometimes when people are worried and scared, they do silly things. So everything is all well and good since no harm has been done."

Teacher Jiang did not blame the Han family. It wasn’t like they were causing trouble for no reason. Anyway, as a teacher he had already seen various kinds of parents. Though this was his first time seeing a parent who went against her family and children, usually it was the other way around.

Old Madam Han heaved a sigh of relief when she heard the remarks of the two teachers. She was worried that after the mess that Meng Yunhan had caused, the school would definitely kick Han Jianyou out. It was a good thing that these people were reasonable and did not blame Han Jianyou.

Behind her, Han Ruochen also heaved a sigh of relief. Even though she knew that the principal was a decent man, who would like to keep a child whose parent caused trouble every other day? First Meng Yunhan had already caused enough trouble by refusing to pay Han Jianyou’s fees and now she was causing a fuss to get her hands on the fees that she did not even take out of her pockets! Her mother was simply a character!

Han Ruochen turned to look at Meng Yunhan, not knowing what to say to her.

She had an inkling regarding this tantrum that her mother had thrown. It seemed like Yun Xinye cried in front of Meng Yunhan, telling her how she and Han Jianyou had bullied his daughter and instead of supporting them, Meng Yunhan actually came to support the daughter of her lover. Honestly, Han Ruochen wanted to arrange a brain exam for her mother. Because how could a person be this foolish?

"Are you going to spend the night here?"

Han Ruochen snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Old Madam Han scolding Meng Yunhan.

"Mom, I...I just...I was just worried that our family doesn’t have enough money for Yichen’s stay at the hospital." Meng Yunhan was sweating hard and could only make a timid excuse. Inwardly, she was cursing the teachers for calling the Han family. If they had listened to her, then she would have succeeded in her little plan. Why were these people so stubborn?

"Shut up! Don’t make me slap you in the face, in front of all of these people." Meng Yunhan spoke beautifully but Old Madam Han was not as easily fooled as others. She sneered and said coldly, "You better follow me back to the village or else I will talk with Old Meng and ask him how he raised his daughter."
