Chapter 379: Stupidity To The Max(II)

Chapter 379: Stupidity To The Max(II)

Meng Yunhan tightly shut her lips. She had made several excuses in the past to stop her in-laws from calling her parents; thus, she did not dare to push Old Madam Han too much lest the old hag cause trouble for her. She could only silently follow Old Madam Han out of the school.

"Mother! Is everything settled?" Second Uncle Han came running when he noticed his mother walking out of the school’s gates. He was worried that his sister in law might have succeeded in dropping Han Jianyou out of the school. After all, this woman always had been quite stubborn when it came to getting something that she wanted.

Old Madam Han glanced at the deflated Meng Yunhan and nodded. "Everything has been settled. It is a good thing that the teachers called us in time or else who knows what this woman might have done?" Old Madam Han felt like she had treated this woman too well; maybe that was the reason why this daughter-in-law of hers was acting so recklessly.

Today’s events were enough to prove it.

Originally, she was going to leave Han Yichen to deal with Meng Yunhan but it seemed like her eldest son was simply incapable of handling this woman. However, they were still in public and Old Madam Han had no desire to air her dirty laundry here. She could only purse her lips and suppress her anger before saying to Second Uncle Han, "Let’s go back. Did you bring the truck?"

"I did. It’s so late and the buses have all stopped. It’s a good thing that Ruochen reminded me or else we would have wasted money by opening two rooms." Second Uncle Han heaved a sigh of relief; it was a good thing that Han Ruochen reminded him or else his mother would have scolded him for being a dumb idiot.

Old Madam Han snorted when she noticed how proud her son looked. What was there to feel smug about this? In the end, was he not just relying on Han Ruochen? She walked over to where the truck was parked and sat in the front seat. She even dragged Han Ruochen to sit with her while the driver’s seat was taken by Second Uncle Han.

When Meng Yunhan noticed that all the seats had been taken, she could not help but object. "Where am I supposed to sit?" There was not a single spot left for her. What was she going to do now?

"Isn’t the back space empty?" Old Madam Han lazily replied. She did not bother to spoil her eldest daughter in law. Her son had done that job a bit too well. Look at her, acting like she was still a sixteen-year-old teen who could do whatever she wanted.

Even Han Jianyou did not act as recklessly as she did.

"Mom, how can I sit in the back?" That was the place her brother-in-law loaded the seafood; it was too grimy and dirty. How could she sit there?

"What? Do you have a problem?" Old Madam Han sneered. "If you do, then you can always walk back home; anyway, you have all the time in the world to cause trouble. Don’t you?"

Meng Yunhan jumped like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She did not dare to say another word and climbed on the back of the truck. Given how furious her mother in law was, she might really make her walk back all the way to the village. Meng Yunhan did not dare to do so!

"Humph, as if I cannot control you." Old Madam Han snorted as she urged her son to start driving. They had already wasted quite a lot of time at the county and did not want to waste any more time.

Because Second Uncle Han did not dare to go against his mother, he immediately turned the engine on, causing Meng Yunhan to slip and fall. If not for the fact that she stabilised herself, she would have rolled out of the truck. Meng Yunhan wanted to curse but dared not. But she noted down this humiliation in her heart; once Yun Xinye made it big, she would make the Han family pay!

Han Ruochen noticed her resentment-filled look and chuckled. Sure enough, her mother was still the same. Even though things had developed to this point, her feelings for the Han family had not changed much. She curled her lips and snorted inwardly.

As soon as they returned to the hospital, Meng Yunhan jumped out of the truck and went to look for Han Ziyan.

When Han Ruochen saw her hurrying, she did not stop her; she knew what her mother was worried about and why she was in a hurry. Instead, she helped her grandmother out of the truck and asked, "Grandma, are you feeling alright?" The road to the county was a rickety one and Old Madam Han’s waist was no longer as good as it used to be in the past.

She rubbed it twice before saying in a low voice, "I am all right. Your father is in more trouble than me. Let’s go and see what your mother is trying to do; we cannot leave her alone for even a second! Who knows what she might do if we don’t care about her." Old Madam Han had serious ptsd after seeing Meng Yunhan’s actions.

That woman had countless evil ideas; who knows what she might do if she were left alone? With that thought in her mind, she hurried inside the hospital with Han Ruochen and her second son. Fortunately, the lesson that Meng Yunhan had learnt at the school was enough and she did not cause any more trouble. Instead, she went to look for Han Ziyan and dragged her into a corner.

"Ziyan, what’s going on? Why are you still here?" Meng Yunhan planned to let Han Yichen see Han Ziyan first and then have her return to home, why was Han Ziyan still at the hospital?
