Chapter 575: Yun Xinye’s Demands

Meng Yunhan was startled when she was caught and dragged to a corner with brutal force. She did not know how long she was dragged, but the person behind her kept dragging her until they reached the woodshed that was hidden in the shadows, where none of the villagers or the children came. After all, this was the place where a woman from the village had hanged herself from the beam. When Meng Yunhan saw that she was being dragged to that corner, she could not help but panic.

What was going on? Who was this person and why was he dragging her to the woodshed? She tried to struggle as hard as she could but there was a difference between the strength of a woman and that of a woman. Even when she tried her best, she could not get rid of the grip that was holding her tight.

She could only watch herself being dragged helplessly.

As the two of them arrived at the woodshed, Meng Yunhan felt the grip loosen and pushed the man away from herself. However, as soon as she turned around, the man reached out to grab her wrist. "Ow! Xinye! You are hurting me. Stop it." Having seen who it was, Meng Yunhan could not help but gasp. However, the man was not willing to listen at all; he pushed her against the brick wall roughly.

"Keep your voice down, you fool!" Yun Xinye hissed, his face twisted in rage as he pinned her by the shoulders. His eyes were bloodshot as he sneered at her. "Do you want the entire village to come here and see what you are doing?"

"I...I did not mean to...don’t get angry...I...I was just...it hurts." Meng Yunhan cowered and pouted. Her heart was hammering against her chest as she lowered her gaze. Gone was the woman who looked at Han Yichen in the eyes and scolded him for being useless and not giving her enough. With Yun Xinye in front of her, Meng Yunhan was like a little kitten. Even her claws were hidden as if she were worried that she might leave a teeny tinsy scratch on Yun Xinye.

Even her voice grew soft, as if she was worried that a loud voice would evoke his anger. It was truly a sight to behold. Meng Yunhan, who had never backed down when she was fighting with Han Yichen, was actually acting so submissively in front of Yun Xinye. What was even more shocking was that she did not even dare to look at Yun Xinye.

If Han Yichen saw Meng Yunhan, he would be so surprised that he would not be able to recognise the woman in front of him.

"I just received word from the school!" Yun Xinye did not care about the changes in Meng Yunhan, as this woman had always been like this in front of him. He snarled; his voice was filled with fury and it trembled as he tried to resist the urge to choke the woman in front of him. "Do you know what they told me? They told me that my daughter has been slapped with a major disciplinary demerit and a permanent character mark on her report card! Do you even know what this means? That her university entrance review is practically destroyed because of someone who was petty enough to ignore that she was still young."

"She is still young, and she can make mistakes! Was there a reason to ruin her like this!?"

Meng Yunhan flinched under his gaze. She knew that Yun Xinye would be mad after he found out the truth but she never thought that he would find it out so soon. Didn’t Yun Xirou say that her father had gone outside of the city? How come he returned so soon? And he came to find her so soon? Looking at his clothes, she knew that he didn’t return to his home and came straight to the small fishing village.

Meng Yunhan realised that he was quite angry and tried to explain it. "Xinye listen to me...it is not what you think...I..."

"You did not do a damn thing!" Yun Xinye interrupted viciously. "Xirou told me everything. She said that it was Han Jianyou and his arrogant sister, Han Ruochen, who did this to her. They are the ones who ruined her. And what were you doing when those brats of yours were doing such a thing? When were they targeting my Xirou like that? Were you watching it silently? How can you do such a thing?"

Yun Xinye was so angry that he gave Meng Yunhan’s shoulder a violent shake, his voice dropping into a cruel ultimatum. "Listen to me carefully; I have no idea how you will do it, but you will have to get rid of this stain that your children had planted on my daughter. Her future is something that I worked hard on. Yunhan, it’s bad enough that you cannot help me even when you promised me that you would do everything in your power to help me out."

"But you have already broken your promise. You did not send me a penny for months, and only I know how hard it is for me to manage everything. Meng Yunhan, don’t forget that if you had not pulled that stupid move and tried to sleep with me...I could have become a university student! It was all your petty jealousy that I was ruined like that."

"It is only right that you help me out but what is shocking is that you haven’t provided me any help and yet you have caused me so much trouble. Do you even know how furious my wife would be once she finds out that Yun Xirou had been given a demerit? She will blame me for not working hard enough!"

He glared right into her eyes and, with his venomous tone, snapped, "You are going to march right over to that school as soon as dawn breaks. Force Han Ruochen or get on your knees in front of Teacher Xu! I don’t care what method you use...you have to do something, if my daughter’s future is ruined, then we are over! Forget that I will marry you ever in this life."
