Chapter 1514: End of Colossuses Part 7
Veronica was stunned by the tone that Xu Feng used. She even felt a chill running down her spine when he finished his statement.
’It seems like Razor Technology had crossed his bottom line too far...’ She knew very well because he didn’t even react in such a manner when the Malefic Order Guild got Carmen killed.
This kind of anger was definitely something new.
And she could only imagine how badly the Razor Technology and their guild, Razor Nightmare, would end up.
’My deepest condolences to you people.’ She prayed for their well-being.
"I’ll tell them to scram now!" She responded and ended the call.
It was totally not because she felt suffocated and that she might lose her ground if she continued to converse with him.
A few minutes later, she finished giving her response with a sigh of relief.
...
Razor Technology Headquarters
Knock knock!
"Come in!" Edward Sandoval, the chairman of Razor Technology, said when he heard a knock outside.
Soon, a female assistant dressed in a mini skirt entered the room and bowed.
"Chairman, we have received two responses." The female assistant said.
"Go on, Donna," Edward said with a nonchalant tone.
The female assistant, Donna, nodded and reported. "The two female anchors, namely Cute Joy and Little Honey, agreed to stream the day in the life of Edgar. But they requested the price to be doubled and paid on the spot, alongside a no-refund policy."
"Pay them directly." Edward paid no heed to a mere 3 million dollars.
To achieve big things, a little bit of bleeding was necessary. Based on these two female anchors’ current popularity, it would make them wonder if they started using some of their Razor Technology products.
The 3 million investment could instantly be returned in multiple folds.
"Yes, Chairman." Donna quickly sent the instructions and proceeded with the next report. "As for the Vanguard Guild’s side, they simply gave a word in response: Scram."
Sure enough, Edward’s expression finally changed slightly when he heard the word, scram.
"Did they not hear the condition we’ve offered?" He raised an eyebrow and asked. "We’re giving them 6% of our company shares in exchange for merely 5% of theirs and to make amends. They actually refused this?"
"Yes, when we tried to tell them we could negotiate further, the other side ended the call," Donna said regrettably. She had never seen someone refuse this kind of allure so decisively.
"It seems like the Vanguard Guild Leader really isn’t a fool." Edward sighed softly. The trap he had laid went to naught since the opponent didn’t bite on it.
That was a bit disappointing, not going to lie.
"Oh well, at least we got the two female anchors to do the stream. Tell the folks to do their best and give the audience a brand new view of us. As for my son, this is his redemption, so tell him not to mess this up!"
"Understood."
Sometime later, Donna exited the office, and Edward began to frown deeply.
"Just who is this Vanguard Guild Leader Lin Feng?" He tapped his fingers on the desk repeatedly.
Whoever they were, Edward knew his son had made a tough opponent.
If it really wasn’t his son that caused this mess, he wouldn’t even hesitate to throw them away and offer them to the Vanguard Guild.
"Sigh... hopefully things will get better in the Divine World." He exhaled softly, his eyes shifting at the computer screen that showed Razor Technology’s stock price dwindling ever so slowly.
...
Divine World, Aetheria Empire’s Prison Cell
"Young Master, what should we do now?" A member wearing the Razor Nightmare guild emblem asked in a nervous tone. They were imprisoned and didn’t even dare to log out because of the system warning.
[System Notification: You have been imprisoned in the Aetheria Empire Capital Prison! Attempting to log out forcefully would result in a heavy penalty!]
[System Notification: Special status detected! Players’ health would be monitored, and any anomaly would be immediately dialed to the emergency center and enter a dormant state!]
"You ask me, I ask who?" Edgar hissed coldly. His eyes flared up whenever he recalled how someone from his guild destroyed the Teleport Platform.
"Have you found out who that teleport destroyer bastard was?"
His subordinates all lowered their heads in shame.
Since they were a Super Guild, they naturally recruited a ton of members who passed their test.
And because of how large their guild was, they couldn’t possibly verify everyone unless they reached a certain rank in the guild.
Therefore, all they knew about the player was their username.
"HKBomi, that’s the player’s name. We don’t know anything else aside from the fact that he joined a week ago."
"HKBomi... have the others who didn’t get arrested search for that name. Whoever can find me that piece of shit bastard can have 200 thousand dollars or 200 gold coins!" Edgar gnashed his teeth heavily.
Amidst his hissing and loud voice, a soldier suddenly approached them.
"Shut up and behave!" The soldier shouted loudly and glared at them in disdain. Many of them had heard about the crime that these people had committed.
Aside from the fact that they broke the taboo of the Teleport Platform, they also nearly caused many lives in Bardmon City to be forfeited.
How could these soldiers ever forgive these heinous criminals?
"Who is the one in charge?" The soldier asked coldly.
"T-That would be me, Sir." Edgar raised his hand and responded somewhat nervously.
"Come out. You have been summoned by the person who will try you."
"The person who will trial me?" Edgar’s body shuddered slightly. "May I ask who the person is?"
"You’ll know when we get there!" The soldier snorted, opened the prison cell, and ordered Edgar to come out. However, when Edgar walked a bit too slowly, the soldier got annoyed and directly grabbed him by the collar.
Then, without a care for his well-being, the soldier dragged him to the outside.
Edgar could only cry in pain from the intense grip tension.
