After ending the call, Quentin Holland slammed his phone on the ground, grabbed his coat, and bolted out the door.

His expression was terrifyingly dark, a mixture of fury and fear.

’That foolish girl, Annabelle, actually tested the drug on herself!’

’Half an hour ago, she was foaming at the mouth and went into shock. Mia Holloway found her, and now she’s in the hospital, where they’re fighting to save her life!’

Quentin Holland floored the accelerator, running several red lights as he sped toward the hospital.

When Quentin Holland arrived at the hospital, they were still operating on Annabelle Linton.

Finally, after another two hours, Annabelle Linton was wheeled out.

Quentin Holland and Mia Holloway immediately rushed forward.

Annabelle Linton’s face was pale and haggard as she lay silently on the gurney.

Quentin Holland gave her a grave look, then pulled the doctor aside to talk.

The doctor who had performed the surgery on Annabelle Linton was Simon Moss.

Simon Moss’s expression was grim as he said, "Quentin, Annabelle was lucky Mia found her when she did. If she had arrived just a little later, she most likely wouldn’t have made it. What a foolish girl."

As Simon Moss spoke, his tone was more pained than accusatory toward Annabelle Linton.
