With New Year’s Day approaching, Yun Zijin had already bought a pile of new items from her sales associates at all the major brands, but she felt it still wasn’t enough. So on Wednesday, after her classes and giving Lu Yunzhou his acupuncture treatment, she decided to go shopping.

It had actually been a while since Yun Zijin had gone shopping. Right after leaving the sanatorium, she’d blasted her four-person group chat and successfully summoned Tu Tutu and Su Mengyao.

One of the employees at her shop had taken the day off, so Qin Sitong couldn’t get away and had to regretfully decline.

In the end, the planned four-person outing became a trio because of Qin Sitong’s absence.

However, Yun Zijin’s main goal was to buy gifts for the people at the orphanage, not to shop for luxury goods.

After explaining her shopping plans to Su Mengyao and Tu Tutu, the two Dijing natives led Yun Zijin to a street of market stalls hidden away in the bustling metropolis.

"This place! This is Wanbao Street, one of the few spots only a handful of people know about, even after living in Dijing for so many years.

"Wanbao, as in ’Ten Thousand Treasures.’ Just as the name implies, this place is full of them.

"The orphanage is mostly filled with children. Since you’re not looking for luxury brands, this is the perfect place. The stuff here is great quality for a bargain price, absolutely!"

The price was irrelevant to Yun Zijin. The most important thing was that the quality was good enough to withstand the pulling, tugging, and general abuse of small children.

After all, even the most well-behaved children at the orphanage were still children. An occasional squabble over a doll was bound to happen.

And that was when the quality of the doll became incredibly important.

If the quality was poor and the doll ripped apart, it could easily scar a child for life.

"Let’s go take a look."

Yun Zijin led the way, and her eyes immediately fell on a chubby blue doll, the kind that was extremely popular with children.

Next to it were yellow and pink versions of the same cat-like doll.

The yellow one was the original color of the chubby blue character, back when it still had ears and before it had cried its color off. The pink one was its little sister.

Yun Zijin immediately scooped up all three of the cat dolls.

If these weren’t gifts for the children, Yun Zijin would have wanted to keep them for herself.

The three large dolls ended up costing Yun Zijin only 500 yuan, a true bargain indeed.

In any other store, a doll this size would have a starting price of 298, maybe 258 after a discount.

But getting three of them for 500 would be practically impossible.

After buying them, Yun Zijin handed the dolls to Zero One and his men to carry, then continued browsing further down the street.

Passing a shop decorated in soft, delicate shades of pink, Yun Zijin, Su Mengyao, and Tu Tutu stepped inside.

Yun Zijin’s gaze was immediately drawn to a Princess Elsa doll occupying the coveted center spot in a display case.

She’d heard that little girls were all obsessed with Princess Elsa recently, so she pulled up the list of names Liao Zhuxiu had sent over, confirmed the number of children, and bought one for each.

With one for everyone, there shouldn’t be any fights.

Otherwise... if someone were to pull Princess Elsa’s head off, that would be a catastrophe.

For the next while, Yun Zijin was like a kid in a candy store on Wanbao Street, gleefully lost among the temptations of its many treasures, unable to pull herself away.

As Yun Zijin bought more and more, the seven bodyguards following her soon found their hands completely filled with shopping bags.

"Zijin, this is too much! We can’t carry any more. Why don’t we take this load back to the car and then come back for more?

"Or we could just come back tomorrow. Wanbao Street is open every day, so there’s no need to do it all at once."

It was the first time Su Mengyao had ever found shopping so exhausting.

Looking down at her high heels, she was filled with immense regret.

It was also the first time she’d discovered what a marathon shopper Yun Zijin could be.

Yun Zijin finally snapped out of her shopping frenzy. Seeing the bags weighing down Zero One’s seven men, not to mention Su Mengyao and Tu Tutu, she rubbed her nose sheepishly.

"Let’s take this stuff back to the car."

"Whew! You finally managed to tear yourself away. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were here to buy inventory for a shop."

Yun Zijin’s spending power alone was probably equal to that of ten other shoppers on the street combined.

It was Yun Zijin’s first time exploring a little market street like this, and she had gotten a bit carried away.

The main reason was that for every item she liked, she felt a wholesale-like urge to buy enough for every single person at the orphanage to have one.

If Su Mengyao and Tu Tutu hadn’t occasionally reined her in, she probably would have bought even more.

The group emerged from Wanbao Street. Zero One brought the car around, and everyone worked together to stuff all the purchases inside.

Once everything was loaded, Yun Zijin discovered there was hardly any room left for them to sit.

"We drove our own car, so don’t worry about us.

You should focus on figuring out how you’re going to get all this stuff back to G City."

Yun Zijin thought the three-day holiday was too short to be worth the hassle of traveling back and forth.

But since these were New Year’s gifts for the orphanage’s director, staff, and children, she had to figure out a way to have them delivered before the holiday.

"I’ll have a courier company come pick them up."

Since Yun Zijin had bought everything, she’d naturally already figured out how to handle it. She could definitely afford the shipping costs.

Knowing that Yun Zijin had it all figured out, Su Mengyao and Tu Tutu drove away, their minds at ease.

There were so many things that the back seat was completely unusable, so Yun Zijin had to settle for the passenger seat up front.

Zero One drove, two of the other men took the second car, and the remaining four had to hail a taxi and follow behind.

To make things easier to organize, Yun Zijin had Zero One drive back to Xingyu Mansion. After they unloaded everything, she asked the housekeeper, Wang Minli, to contact a courier company and arrange for a pickup.

Wang Minli had previously worked as a housekeeper for wealthy families and was used to dealing with couriers. In just a few words, she made the situation perfectly clear.

Before long, someone from the courier company arrived in a small van.

But even for a seasoned deliveryman who had seen a lot, his eyes went wide at the sight of the veritable mountain of dolls in the living room.

"All of this? You want to ship it all? That’s going to be a hefty delivery fee."

The courier even felt his van was too small; he would have to contact his colleagues right away and get two more vans to come over.

"Yes. You figure out how to pack it all up. Just make sure nothing gets damaged in transit. It all needs to be delivered before New Year’s Day; you can mark it for express delivery."

Yun Zijin didn’t care about the delivery fee; she just wanted all the gifts to reach the orphanage before New Year’s Day.

"Alright. This might take a little while, please bear with us."

Knowing Yun Zijin wasn’t worried about the cost, the courier messaged his colleagues and then started sorting through the various stuffed animals, Barbie dolls, toy cars, and everything else in the living room.

About twenty minutes later, two more couriers arrived in their own vans, which were filled with all sorts of boxes, packing foam, and tape.

The two newcomers were also momentarily stunned by the spectacular scene in the living room.

"Have some tea first. You can take your time packing; there’s no rush."

Wang Minli poured a cup of tea for each of the couriers. It was going to take a significant amount of time to get everything packed and ready.

"Thank you."

The two new arrivals took a couple of polite sips before joining their colleague in the task of sorting and packing.
