Chapter 329: Chapter 318: Don’t Worry, I Have a Way
Just as Fang Chenyi was sizing up the Ocean Harmony in the distance, a group of five or six young men in white robes and headbands approached them.
Following behind them were a dozen or so hulking men in black suits and sunglasses. They were obviously bodyguards.
Once the group came closer, Demo Did immediately started making introductions. From what he gathered, Fang Chenyi learned that these were Demo Did’s cronies, all from some of the wealthiest families around.
When introducing one particular person, Demo Did even shot Fang Chenyi a subtle look. Although Fang Chenyi didn’t know exactly what it meant, he figured Demo Did was trying to tell him that this guy was someone important.
Fang Chenyi didn’t pay it much mind, however. He just smiled and greeted each of them.
To the current Fang Chenyi, these people didn’t really impress him. They just happened to be born into better families, that’s all.
After the brief introductions, the group started chatting amongst themselves. They didn’t pointedly ignore Fang Chenyi, but they didn’t make any special effort to talk to him either. Instead, they all started walking toward the Ocean Harmony.
After all, in their eyes, Fang Chenyi was just a foreigner. Even if he did have some ability, how could he possibly be more powerful than their own families?
"Damn it, what a stroke of luck this time. We actually caught the Ocean Harmony while it’s here. This is its first time stopping by, isn’t it? I heard it’s a whole lot better than the M.OBG. It’s just a damn shame the trip is only for two days."
As they strolled along, the young man who seemed to be the center of the group spoke with dissatisfaction.
"You can say that again. It’s the Ocean Harmony’s first time over here. I wonder if the owner’s an idiot. We’re in Dubai, surrounded by rich people! Why not take the chance to make more money off us? And it’s only for two days... I guess the owner isn’t all that impressive after all."
As the young man in the middle finished speaking, the others chimed in with agreement. For Fang Chenyi, however, hearing this was incredibly awkward.
’Damn it, I’m being called an idiot right to my face. The problem is, I can’t even explain.’
’Even if I told them right now that this cruise ship is mine, they probably wouldn’t believe me.’
While Fang Chenyi was speechless, Demo Did had already leaned in close to his ear and began to explain in a low voice:
"Boss, that’s Rashid Mu Yihan Yide Mu Kurd Ah Ken Fake Duwu. He’s the Ninth Prince of the Royal Family."
Demo Did kept his voice extremely low, specifically to inform Fang Chenyi of the man’s significant status. The implication was self-evident.
Fang Chenyi now understood why Demo Did had given him that look during the introductions.
’Just as I thought, this guy’s identity is pretty significant. I just didn’t expect him to actually be a Prince.’
’It’s just that his name is ridiculously long. Even with my amazing memory, I only managed to remember ’Rashid’.’
Hearing this, Fang Chenyi just nodded to show he understood, but he felt no particular desire to cozy up to the man just because he was a Prince.
Demo Did was amazed when he saw this. ’Wouldn’t most people jump at the chance to get close to a Prince?’
But Fang Chenyi was acting as if it were nothing, seemingly unconcerned with who the other person was or what his status was.
He shook his head helplessly, but then something occurred to him and he quickly said:
"Oh, right, Boss! I just remembered, you can’t bring weapons on board. You should have the security guard take that thing in your hand back to the car."
As he spoke, he glanced at Fang Chenyi’s handbag, the meaning obvious: the Beretta he was carrying couldn’t be brought onto the ship.
Fang Chenyi, however, waved his hand.
"It’s fine. I’ve already put it away."
Demo Did clearly misunderstood him, thinking Fang Chenyi meant that he had already concealed it on his person.
"No, Boss, you have to go through a security check to board. They have very advanced equipment. That gun of yours is just too valuable. Leaving it with them wouldn’t be safe at all."
Just as Demo Did said, Fang Chenyi’s Beretta was extremely valuable. If it fell into the hands of the crew, it would surely attract the attention of someone with bad intentions. If they secretly made off with it, it would be a huge problem.
Hearing about the high-tech scanning equipment, Fang Chenyi started to panic a little. ’Will the secrets of my woven bag be exposed by the scanners?’
His handbag contained the woven bag, and that woven bag was a world unto itself, holding a full ten cubic meters of space inside!
If others found out he possessed such a treasure, he would undoubtedly become a target. After all, Fang Chenyi understood the principle that possessing a treasure invites disaster.
He was certain that if outsiders knew about a treasure like the woven bag, they would do everything in their power to get their hands on it. After all, if something like this fell into the hands of someone with malicious intent, couldn’t they use it to commit all sorts of evil deeds?
[DING! The host’s concern has been detected. The System provides a special answer: The woven bag is a special item and can shield against any form of snooping in this world!]
