Chapter 330 - 318: Don’t Worry, I Have a Way (Part 2)
Chapter 330: Chapter 318: Don’t Worry, I Have a Way (Part 2)
A notification suddenly chimed in his mind, and Fang Chenyi’s worries instantly vanished. He casually waved a dismissive hand at Demo Did.
Beside him, Qi Xiaotian couldn’t help but lean in and whisper, "Brother Fang, why don’t we have Yishou take it back? That thing of yours is just too valuable."
Having heard what Demo Did had said earlier, both Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou now understood the item’s true value, prompting his question.
But Fang Chenyi just smiled and waved his hand again, then said dismissively, "It’s really fine. Let’s go. I’ve secured it. They won’t find a thing."
Fang Chenyi was completely calm and composed, looking as if the security check wasn’t even a concern.
Qi Xiaotian opened his mouth to protest further but then closed it without a word. After spending so much time with him, he knew that once Brother Fang made a decision, it was nearly impossible to change his mind.
Not only that, but an expression like this meant Brother Fang was utterly confident. He was just intensely curious now—what method could Brother Fang possibly use to evade detection by high-tech equipment?
After all, even with his own skills, the most he could manage was smuggling his small knife past security. There was no way he could ever get a firearm through.
As they spoke, the group arrived at the side of the cruise ship. Seeing it up close from below gave Fang Chenyi a new sense of shock, and he truly appreciated the vessel’s sheer size.
"We’re here, Boss. Just follow me."
Laughing and chatting, the group arrived at the elevators that led to the cruise ship’s deck, where the security checkpoint was set up. Everyone who wanted to board the ship had to pass through here.
"Good day, sirs. Please surrender any weapons you may be carrying. We will hold them for you and return them upon your departure."
Before the elevators stood an X-ray scanner, just like one you’d see at an airport. And after passing through the scanner, two large men in black suits would perform a manual check with handheld metal detectors. Only after they confirmed a person was completely free of any lethal weapons would they be allowed to proceed.
Although the guests were all wealthy and powerful individuals, no one voiced any objections. After all, from another perspective, it was a guarantee of their own safety.
Just as Fang Chenyi’s group arrived, a woman in a suit was addressing the guests. Beside her, several staff members were collecting weapons.
They placed each surrendered weapon into a small metal box and handed the key to its owner.
As he watched, Fang Chenyi was rather taken aback to discover that nearly every single guest was carrying a pistol.
Having grown up in Huaxia, this left Fang Chenyi speechless. People always said public safety was poor in other countries; seeing this, he thought it would be a miracle if it wasn’t.
While Fang Chenyi watched with amusement as the guests surrendered their arms, the bodyguards accompanying Demo Did and the others began pulling out their own weapons.
This didn’t surprise Fang Chenyi in the slightest, especially since their group included a prince.
Seeing Fang Chenyi staring at the weapons checkpoint, Demo Did couldn’t help but nudge his arm.
"Boss, maybe you should have your man take it back."
He assumed Fang Chenyi hadn’t anticipated such stringent security and was now getting worried about the item in his bag.
But to his surprise, Fang Chenyi just smiled, shook his head, and with a simple "Let’s go," strode confidently toward the security gate.
Seeing this, Demo Did shook his head helplessly. It was already too late to call him back.
*Sigh. I just hope no one recognizes that treasure!*
Rashid, who was standing nearby, overheard him and asked with confusion, "Dimo, what are you muttering about? What treasure?"
But Demo Did was in no mood to deal with the Ninth Prince. His eyes were fixed on Fang Chenyi, who had just strolled nonchalantly through the security gate. His jaw dropped.
*What was going on? He just walked right through? Was the security gate just for show?*
For a moment, he regretted handing over his own weapon.
But even though Fang Chenyi had passed through the gate, the manual inspection that followed was even stricter. With that thought, Demo Did gave the Ninth Prince a dismissive laugh and hurried to catch up.
It wasn’t just Demo Did. Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou were also stunned as they watched Fang Chenyi walk through the gate. They knew for a fact that the item was in his bag. How could the scanner possibly have not detected it?
Puzzled as they were, they didn’t forget about the two small knives they were carrying themselves.
While waiting in line for the manual inspection, Fang Chenyi turned to Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou, who had come up behind him, and asked with feigned surprise, "You didn’t bring them?"
They immediately understood his out-of-the-blue question was about their knives.
Qi Xiaotian shot a meaningful glance down at himself and grinned. The message was clear: *Of course I did*.
A moment later, Demo Did and the others joined them.
What followed was Fang Chenyi breezing through the manual inspection. Unsurprisingly, so did Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou. In contrast, several daggers were found on Rashid’s bodyguards.
This left Demo Did, who had begun to think the entire security check was just for show, thoroughly confused again. *Did Fang Chenyi leave the item in the car after all? But I don’t remember him doing that...*
Lost in thought, he found himself already on the main deck.
The feeling here was completely different from down below. Once aboard, Fang Chenyi felt as if he had stepped into a high-end resort. The ship wasn’t just filled with lavish facilities; it was complete with grass, flowers, and even trees.
"Brother Fang, this is insane! Is this massive cruise ship... really yours?"
Whether it was Qi Xiaotian and Liu Yishou, or even Fang Chenyi himself, it was the first time they had ever set foot on such a luxurious vessel. For a moment, they felt they couldn’t take it all in.
Fang Chenyi playfully rapped Qi Xiaotian on the head. "When have you ever known your Brother Fang to boast?"
Rubbing the spot, Qi Xiaotian just grinned. It was true, as Fang Chenyi said, he never made empty boasts.
When he thought about Fang Chenyi’s immense fortune, buying a cruise ship like this probably wasn’t a big deal at all.
"Haha, so what do you think, Boss? This is the largest and most luxurious cruise ship in the world! Come on, let’s go get a bite to eat. The ship is set to depart in half an hour. After that, we can really have some fun!"
The main deck was already crowded with people, all of them looking excited.
In truth, it wasn’t just Fang Chenyi’s group; even Rashid, the Ninth Prince, was a first-time visitor to the Ocean Harmony, and he was taking in the sights of the world’s most luxurious cruise ship with great curiosity.
Since it was already getting late and approaching dinnertime, and because many of the ship’s activities wouldn’t open until after departure, the group headed directly to the largest restaurant on that deck.
As they walked, Demo Did couldn’t resist leaning in and whispering to Fang Chenyi, asking if he’d left the item in the car after all. In response, Fang Chenyi only gave him an enigmatic smile.
Their meal was just a quick bite, as eating wasn’t their main purpose. By the time they emerged from the restaurant, the Ocean Harmony had already begun to glide slowly away from the port and out toward the vast, surging sea.
Standing at the rail of the grand deck, Fang Chenyi gazed at the setting sun on the horizon. A faint smile touched his lips as he took out his phone, found a number, and made the call.
