Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

Chapter 1028: A MURDER

Chapter 1028: A MURDER

THE barrier around the Imperial Palace was created by Aunt Nichole with the help of the former Saint Dominic Zavaroni.

Ever since then, the barrier had withstood several attacks.

And, yet, a group of stupid crows had managed to create long cracks along the shield.

The viciousness reminded Neoma of something...

Isn’t a swarm of crows called a murder?

Heh.

Neoma hated looking up, and so she shot up to the sky until she was floating above the murder below her feet— leaving her companions.

Well, they’re no longer kids that I need to supervise.

Moreover, she needed to deal with those stupid crows before the barrier collapsed.

"Skewer, come out."

Neoma summoned her pink Death Scythe, and then she swung it until she covered the entire Imperial Palace with her own barrier— the one called Dome.

She made it look easy because she was a genius.

But creating that huge, powerful barrier in just the blink of an eye was not something anyone could just do. Plus, it required a huge amount of Mana to be able to pull that off.

Having said that, she succeeded not only because she was talented.

I mean, me being amazing is already a given.

But even though she was a genius, she still worked hard.

She studied hard under the former Saint Dominic Zavaroni until she perfected the art of creating barriers.

And this was the result of her hard work.

Neoma raised her pink Death Scythe.

As a result, the Dome that she created floated like a giant jellyfish— trapping the swarm of crows that was trying to break the Imperial Palace’s barrier.

"Mochi, come out."

The Wind Spirit that she left in her mother’s care came out.

Mochi was in the Spirit World to protect the Seedling.

But just one calle from Neoma and it appeared next to her.

"It’s been a while, Neoma."

"Yes, I missed you, Mochi."

Mochi just laughed softly before asking: "What can I do for you?"

"Use your wind ability to push the remaining crows inside the Dome."

"As you wish, my little princess."

Then the wind grew stronger, pushing all the crows inside the Dome.

If Neoma weren’t Neoma, she would have been carried away by the strong wind already.

But thanks to her strength, she was unaffected.

Anyways, now that the crows were inside the barrier that she made, she snapped her fingers.

Just like that, the Dome started to shrink fast.

As a result, the crows inside were crushed to death.

It was hard for Neoma to watch.

Even though she knew those crows weren’t ordinary birds, it didn’t change the fact that she killed animals.

But it wasn’t like it was going to change anything.

I’m going to die a gruesome death and go to hell anyway.

Neoma wasn’t being pessimistic.

She just accepted that tragic fate the moment she decided to kill.

"Why do you have a melancholic look on your face, Neoma?"

Oh?

Neoma smiled when Ruto appeared right in front of her, effectively blocking the gruesome scene behind him. "You always appear whenever I want to see you, Ruto."

"Hearing you call me by my name after we’ve been apart for long feels strange."

Pfft.

"What do you want me to call you, then? Ruto Oppa? Babe?"

Ruto’s face beamed.

Aigoo.

"Babe."

Ruto smiled, opening his arms. "Come here."

"You know my family is watching, right?"

"What will they do? Kill me?"

Neoma laughed out loud. "Hey, my arrogance is rubbing off on you."

Ruto just shrugged.

He can really be cute sometimes.

Neoma, suddenly feeling tired, let herself fall into Ruto’s embrace. "Ah, finally. I feel at home," she said while wrapping her arms around Ruto’s waist. Then she buried her (beautiful) face against his chest, savoring the scent that she missed. "Yeah, this is my Ruto."

"Did you meet the Ruto of the Dead World?"

"Only for a moment. I’ve spent most of my time with the Trevor of that world. I avoided Nero and Papa Boss. Ah, Lu was also there. But it was Trevor whom I worked with the longest."

Ruto fell silent.

Well, it wasn’t really strange since her man was reserved most of the time.

However, she noticed that his silence this time was strange.

When Neoma looked up to see Ruto’s face, she noticed that he was frowning. "Why are you making that face?"

"Did the Trevor from that world flirt with you?"

"Huh?"

"I remember that the Trevor from the first timeline was smitten with you. He wasn’t as obsessed as the Trevor of this timeline, but I remember him being annoying."

Is this for real?

"Babe?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you suddenly feeling jealous of Trevor?"

Ruto just frowned even more.

Aigoo.

Neoma couldn’t help but laugh while gently smacking Ruto’s chest. "Why are you suddenly feeling jealous of Trevor?"

"Well, me in that world was useless. But the Trevor of that world was useful to you. So, I’m afraid that you might regret choosing me over Trevor..."

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Well, Neoma could see where Ruto was coming from.

Although she understood that he only did what he had to do in the first timeline, it still didn’t change the fact that they had a tragic ending because of the choices that he made.

But...

"I like the present so much that I don’t think about the first timeline anymore," Neoma said, hugging Ruto again. "So, don’t be bothered by the mistakes that you’ve committed in the past, Ruto. You just have to be extra good to me from now on."

"Is it safe to assume that you don’t regret choosing me?"

"Yeah, I don’t. Trevor was and is a good friend-slash-ally, but I don’t regret not accepting his feelings. It will always be you, Ruto."

Ruto let out a sigh of relief, and then he hugged her tighter. "Welcome home, Neoma."

Neoma closed her eyes, suddenly feeling sleepy. "Yes, I’m home..."
