Sacrificed To The Triplet Alpha Kings

Chapter 432: She Is Dangerous Now

  • Next Chapter

You’re not fighting one power source anymore. You’re channeling two opposing forces that should cancel each other out but instead amplify each other because they come from the same origin."

"Show me," Lilith said suddenly.

Everyone looked at her.

"Show me," Lilith repeated. "If I’m carrying this power, I should be able to feel it. Sense it. Something."

Elena nodded slowly. "Close your eyes. Reach for your magic. But don’t pull on it. Just....observe it. Feel what’s there."

Lilith closed her eyes and carefully, tentatively, reached inward.

Immediately, she felt her power respond. But it was different than it had been two days ago when she tried to access it and nearly exploded the lamp.

This time, instead of one overwhelming surge, she felt.....

Two distinct currents.

One was warm. Bright. Pulsing with energy that felt like growth and creation and living things. Life magic. The Morvaine gift she had always carried.

But underneath that.....

Cold. Dark. Powerful in a way that made her want to recoil. Death magic. The kind Victoria wielded. The kind that could decay and destroy and unmake.

And both of them were hers.

Woven together. Balanced. Two sides of the same impossible coin.

Lilith’s eyes flew open. "I can feel them. Both of them. Life and death. They’re..." She looked at her hands. "They’re part of me now."

"Yes," Elena confirmed. "And that’s why those witches are at your border. Every supernatural creature with the ability to sense power felt it when you woke up. They felt the surge of Veil essence entering the mortal realm. And they’re going to want to know what it means."

"Want to know or want to take it?" Lucian asked sharply.

"Both," Victoria said quietly. "The power Lilith carries is unprecedented. Unique. There’s never been a witch who could wield life and death magic simultaneously. Other covens are going to want to study her. Use her. Some will want to drain her power for themselves. Others will want to kill her before she becomes too dangerous."

"She’s not dangerous," Sebastian said immediately.

"She is," Elena corrected gently. "Whether she wants to be or not. Lilith....you’re carrying power that could reshape the supernatural world. Power that breaks every rule we thought we knew about magic. That makes you valuable. And being valuable makes you a target."

Lilith felt ice slide through her veins. "So what do I do? How do I....."

"You learn to control it," Elena said. "You train. You master both sides of your magic so when threats come.....and they will come...you’re strong enough to defend yourself."

"And in the meantime?" Sebastian asked.

"In the meantime, we keep her existence quiet," Elena said. "We don’t confirm anything to those witches at the border. We don’t advertise what Lilith has become. We buy time to train her before the supernatural community mobilizes against her."

"Is that even possible?" Lilith asked. "If they already felt the power surge...."

"Feeling a surge and knowing what caused it are two different things," Victoria said. "Right now they’re guessing. Investigating. But if we confirm that you’re carrying the Veil’s essence, if we give them proof...." She stopped. "Then the race begins. Every coven, every council, every ambitious supernatural who wants that power will come for you."

Lilith looked at Sebastian and Lucian. At the two men who were supposed to be her mates and protectors but who looked just as lost as she felt.

"I don’t want this," Lilith said quietly. "I didn’t ask for this power. I didn’t ask to become some.....some target for every supernatural who wants to use me."

"I know," Elena said gently. "But it’s what you are now. And we can either prepare you for it or watch you be destroyed by forces you can’t fight."

"How long do we have?" Lucian asked.

"To train her properly?" Elena considered. "Months. Maybe a year if we’re lucky."

"And how long before the threats start arriving?" Sebastian asked.

Elena and Victoria exchanged looks.

"They already have," Victoria said quietly. "Those witches at the border are just the beginning."

***

The conversation continued for another hour.

Elena and Victoria explained the training regimen they had planned. How Victoria would teach Lilith death magic. How Elena would teach life magic. How they would help her learn to balance both forces and wield them without destroying herself in the process.

They discussed security. How to protect Lilith while she was still vulnerable. How to handle inquiries from other supernatural factions. How to keep the Blackwood pack safe while also keeping Lilith’s existence as quiet as possible.

By the time they finished, Lilith’s head was spinning with information and implications and the overwhelming reality of what her life had become.

She was no longer just a Morvaine witch bonded to three cursed Alphas.

She was something else entirely. Something unprecedented. Something dangerous.

And Nicholas had died to make it happen.

"I need air," Lilith said suddenly. "I need....I need to be alone for a while."

Sebastian looked like he wanted to argue. But Lucian put a hand on his shoulder.

"Let her go," Lucian said quietly. "She needs to process."

Lilith stood and left the library before anyone could object.

She walked through the estate corridors without a clear destination. Just moving. Trying to outrun the panic building in her chest.

She passed pack members who bowed or nodded or whispered as she went by. Passed rooms being repaired from Thalia’s attack. Passed evidence of life continuing despite everything that had happened.

And then she found herself standing in front of a door she had not intended to seek out.

Nicholas’s room.

Lilith stood there for a long moment just staring at the closed door.

She had not been in this room since before the transformation attempt. Before she died. Before Nicholas sacrificed himself.

The door probably looked exactly the same inside. Untouched. Frozen in time.

A memorial to someone who would never return.

Lilith reached out and turned the handle.

The door opened silently and she stepped inside.
