Chapter 388: Chapter 195: Achilles, Gun Fu! (Part 2)

What’s more, he also knew Achilles’s fatal weakness!

The two walked down from the ruins of the Temple of Hades and stepped into the sea of mandala flowers.

Achilles, the demigod hero who had bathed in the River Styx and possessed an immortal body, held the golden spear that had once struck terror into the hearts of the Trojans, casually spinning it in a flourish.

The tip of the spear pierced the air, emitting a sharp hiss like a whisper thirsting to drink divine blood.

A confident smile hung on his lips. His burning gaze locked onto Alex, his posture resembling an elegant yet dangerous cheetah scrutinizing its prey.

Alex stood tall and straight like a pine. The pitch-black Spear of Longinus in his hand, entwined with purple lightning patterns, pointed diagonally toward the ground.

The shaft of the spear emanated an ominous chill that perfectly complemented his abyssal, calm eyes.

Facing the legendary demigod hero, not a single ripple of emotion showed on Alex’s face. He merely shifted his center of gravity slightly, adopting an equally offensive stance.

Previously, he had always used this vicious spear as a throwing weapon. Although he lacked experience wielding a spear in melee combat, he was completely unafraid.

"Reincarnation Space, redeem the Spear Grandmaster skill."

[500 credit points deducted. Spear Grandmaster skill redeemed!]

In the Reincarnation Space, this type of melee weapon experience was extremely cheap. Of course, it was only "cheap" relative to a wealthy tycoon like Alex.

Countless years of spear-wielding experience flooded into Alex’s mind. He instantly felt a perfect union between man and weapon; his spear thrusts were like surging dragons...

There were no blazing flames of a burning Cosmo, nor the roaring explosions of ultimate techniques activating.

Achilles moved!

His movements were as fast as lightning, carrying the rhythmic, aesthetic beauty of an ancient Greek sculpture.

The golden spear transformed into a sharp streak of light that tore through space. Devoid of any flashy feints, it thrust straight at Alex’s heart!

This thrust condensed killing intent forged through countless battlefields; it was the perfect fusion of pure speed and power.

Wherever the spear’s gale passed, even space itself was instantly torn open, leaving behind a spear trail that lingered for a long time.

Alex’s response was equally minimalist to the extreme.

He took half a step back with his left foot and twisted his waist. Like an awakening black dragon, the Spear of Longinus swept upward with pinpoint precision!

Clang!

A deafening clash of metal exploded!

In the nick of time, the sharp tips of the two divine weapons fiercely collided!

Blinding sparks shot out like miniature fireworks, instantly illuminating both of their stern, cold faces.

Tremendous kinetic force transferred down the shafts of their weapons. The ground beneath Alex’s feet silently fractured into a spiderweb of cracks, while the muscles on Achilles’s spear-wielding arm instantly bulged like iron, steadying his stance.

Without a moment of hesitation, Achilles flicked his wrist. The golden spear retracted instantly like a striking viper, before sweeping out horizontally at an even more cunning angle. The shaft of the spear carried immense force, aiming to strike Alex at the waist and send him flying.

Alex’s reaction was inhumanly fast. He fiercely slammed the butt of his spear against the ground, using the leverage to launch himself into the air. The black spear danced around his body, forming an impenetrable barrier of dark light that firmly blocked Achilles’s sweeping trajectory like an iron floodgate.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

A rapid, violent series of consecutive impacts rang out densely, like a torrential downpour hammering against a roof.

The divine spears in both their hands transformed into blurry afterimages. In their grasp, the long spears were no longer heavy weapons, but seamless extensions of their own limbs.

Achilles’s offensive was like raging waves crashing against the shore, each wave higher than the last. Every thrust contained enough colossal force to cleave mountains and split boulders. His angles of attack were unpredictable; sometimes striking straight for vital points like a viper darting its tongue, and other times sweeping through everything in its path like a giant python thrashing about.

His spearmanship was the ultimate killing art honed through countless bloody battles, brimming with raw power and a wild aesthetic!

Alex, on the other hand, stood like an immovable reef amidst the stormy seas.

His spearmanship style was completely different from Achilles’s. He discarded all flashiness and redundancy, retaining only the most minimalist and highly efficient trajectories.

Every block, parry, and dodge was precise to the millimeter. His range of motion was incredibly small, yet the results were astonishing.

In his hands, the Spear of Longinus felt more like an impenetrable fortress wall. Using the most minimal of movements, he could constantly anticipate and neutralize Achilles’s thunderous, overwhelming onslaught.

His occasional counterattacks were like sudden claps of thunder in the dark—the angles cunning, the timing ruthless—forcing even Achilles to pull back his spear to defend. The rhythm of their offense and defense was suffocatingly fast.

Silhouettes of spears crisscrossed!

Rays of gold and black light flashed and collided madly amidst the sea of flowers in Elysium, separating only to violently clash once more!

"Haha, exhilarating! Take this move of mine!"

Achilles roared loudly, a sudden golden glow erupting from the shaft of his spear...
