Chapter 1313: Chapter 1313: I Want You Back by My Side

The person sitting next to her last night was Manuel Ink, and she couldn’t eat anything.

Today it was Watt Bennet, and she finished all the food on the table, not as distracted as she was during last night’s meal.

Next to Watt Bennet, Summer Sutton was at her most relaxed and comfortable.

Initially, Watt felt quite displeased seeing her walk out with Manuel Ink earlier this evening.

But after having a meal with Summer Sutton and watching her eat so carelessly, he was instantly cured.

In reality, there were many things he understood.

The natural ease Summer had when she was with him wasn’t something she could have with just anyone else.

Didn’t this prove he was always the most special to her in her heart?

Watt felt very happy, accompanying Summer Sutton in finishing everything on the table. After she even consumed the dessert, he kindly suggested, "Are you full? Want to order a bit more?"

"Are you saying I’m a pig!" Summer rolled her eyes at him.

"Aren’t you?" Watt responded playfully to her words.

She’d already eaten so much, why care about a little more?

Summer was seriously choked by his words, shot him a glare, stood up, "Not eating anymore, let’s go, let’s go, heading back!"

"Heading where?" Watt actually understood what she meant but asked on purpose.

The "heading back" she mentioned must mean going back to her tiny apartment.

Ignoring Watt’s teasing, she climbed into the car first.

Watt got in after her, but didn’t start the car immediately.

He pondered for a while, glanced sideways at her, and tried suggesting, "How about you come over to my place tonight?"

He was testing Summer Sutton’s reaction, really wanting to suggest she move back to his place directly.

However, guessing she wouldn’t like it, he changed his wording.

He wasn’t in a hurry, wanting to first see how Summer felt about returning to his place, then go step by step.

If she was willing to stay for one night, it wouldn’t be long before she moved back.

Summer Sutton was silent for quite some time after his words.

The car remained quiet for a moment, then she turned to him, "What are you thinking about?"

"Thinking about having you back by my side!" Watt looked at her with bright eyes, speaking plainly.

Subtly, he observed Summer Sutton’s reaction.

After his words, she fell silent again, muttering as if to herself, "Haven’t I not gone far now?"

Watt carefully mulled over her words and understood what she meant.

She probably still wasn’t willing to go back to his place, but she hadn’t chosen to live abroad like before, and she wasn’t as resistant to him as before—this already showed the improvement in their relationship.

Her accepting him again was probably just a matter of time, right?

Watt believed that the one Summer loved could only possibly be him, and realizing this filled him with confidence.

As long as she would eventually come back, waiting a bit longer wasn’t really a big deal.

"If you don’t want to go, then let me go to your place!" Not wanting to get tangled in the issue, Watt started the car with a roar.

The weather tonight was a bit cold; it was a winter night, and it was snowing. The road wasn’t easy to drive back on.

Snowflakes fluttered outside; the air was piercingly cold, yet Summer Sutton seemed somewhat happy.

She even opened the window, stretching her hand out to catch a few snowflakes.

As Watt turned his face, he just caught sight of her smiling lips.

So dazzling, her smile was like a blooming flower.
