Chapter 1346: Chapter 1446: Be My Princess Consort (1)

What could the Old Master be discussing with Manuel Ink?

Is it something related to her?

Or perhaps forcing Manuel Ink to do something else he doesn’t want to do?

Summer Sutton silently observed Manuel Ink, secretly gauging his reaction.

Manuel Ink didn’t respond to her questions. Taking his long strides upstairs, he reached Summer Sutton, grabbed her hand, and headed back down, "You’ve been here for days, they haven’t taken you anywhere, have they? I’ll take you out for some fresh air."

"Okay." Summer followed quietly behind him, allowing herself to be led, her mind filled with thoughts about his sudden arrival.

The two walked through a long sea of roses, past the villa that was beautiful like a fairy tale castle, and through a long hedge wall of Princess Margaret roses. Manuel Ink led Summer Sutton around several secluded paths on the island, eventually arriving at a beach.

The waves were quite strong today, with white waves sweeping over the beach. Looking out, there were no ships in sight on the sea.

This desolation chilled Summer Sutton a little.

This place is so remote; if she wanted to leave on her own, it seemed impossible.

With his back to her, Manuel Ink gazed at the blue horizon for a while, then bent down to pick up the fine white seashells scattered on the sand one by one.

"Do you like them?" From his sleeve, he drew out a silver thread, stringing the shells into a delicate bracelet, which he then placed on Summer Sutton’s wrist.

"They’re nice." Summer Sutton didn’t really care about the shells and only glanced at them casually, echoing his words.

"Then keep it on." Manuel Ink tossed the comment at her as he continued picking up stones from the beach, casually playing with skipping them on the water.

Since he arrived, he hadn’t mentioned leaving and seemed engrossed in his own activities the whole time.

Summer Sutton watched his back for a moment and tentatively asked, "Aren’t you busy these days?"

"Not really." The reply was a nonchalant two words.

"When will we leave here?" Summer Sutton pursued.

Manuel Ink paused his stone-throwing, and after a silent moment following her question, slowly turned his face towards her.

Their eyes met, Summer Sutton’s eyes filled with light and brimming with anticipation.

Yet, after a long wait, the words Manuel Ink finally said were, "What if I said I don’t want to go back?"

Summer Sutton’s expression froze, as if doubting what she heard.

Not going back?

Staying here indefinitely?

The Manuel Ink today was suddenly a mystery to Summer Sutton.

Manuel Ink did not further explain himself, turning his head away to continue playing with the stones on the beach.

"Manuel, you know this wedding, Watt Bennet invited a lot of guests. If I suddenly disappear, it would cause a commotion, and he will worry." Summer Sutton tried to explain, feeling Manuel Ink always understood her thoughts. She now wanted nothing more than to leave, and surely, Manuel knew that too.

"Don’t worry, he’ll figure out you’re with the Ink Family." Manuel seemed dismissive of her concerns, still casually tossing pebbles into the water.

Watt is not a fool; the only people who could have taken Summer Sutton, ruling out Ryan Walyon, would be the Ink Family. As long as he knows she’s there, her safety is at least assured, so Watt has nothing to worry about.

Summer Sutton hadn’t expected that response, momentarily stumped on how to reply.
