Chapter 1347: Chapter 1447: Be My Princess Consort (2)

The glow of the sunset was warm, falling gently on the body, not too hot, lazily making one feel a bit drowsy.

The two of them had been on the beach for a long time, arriving in the afternoon and not leaving until after five o’clock.

Glara Island is an island adorned with Julia Owens, with every small path lined with Julia Owens carefully cultivated by the gardeners.

As they walked, Manuel Ink introduced Summer Sutton to the various varieties of roses they encountered, "This one is called Princess Margaret, a beautiful Austin Rose, and this one is Juliet, also belonging to the Austin Family. This one is called Pink Earl, a French Rose; this is Eva Noble, Sun and Moon, this is Queen Charlotte, do you like them?"

He named many, all of which were varieties Summer Sutton had never heard of before.

Summer Sutton never knew that a man as cold as Manuel Ink could possess such extensive knowledge of rose varieties.

All Summer Sutton could think about now was leaving the island; she did not really pay attention to what Manuel Ink was saying.

"Mm." She responded perfunctorily, her gaze lost in the distant seaside.

There was no boat, and Manuel Ink did not mention anything about leaving either; how was she supposed to leave?

Summer Sutton was so lost in thought that she was oblivious to what was happening around her.

Until Manuel Ink’s voice came from overhead, "You are quite like this flower, exquisite, passionate, yet not lacking in elegance."

He was placing a flower in Summer Sutton’s hair, an orange-yellow heart-shaped rose. Summer Sutton, relying on her memory, recalled the name Manuel Ink introduced to her earlier, Princess Margaret.

Just as Manuel Ink had described, the flower’s color was passionate, its form exquisite yet not lacking in elegance.

A very beautiful and noble name, perhaps that is the sensation this variety conveys.

Princess Margaret.

Summer Sutton turned her head to look at the flower in front of her, losing herself for a moment.

She didn’t understand why Manuel Ink thought she resembled such a flower. To Summer Sutton, she felt more like grass, possessing tenacious vitality, refusing to succumb to anything around her, and not at all delicate.

"Such a flower should be well protected by others." Manuel Ink did not elaborate on his words, ending with that, and walked ahead towards the direction of the villa.

Summer Sutton stood stiffly in place, seriously replaying his words in her mind.

Were Manuel Ink’s words meant for her, or were they just said casually?

What did he mean?

Today, Summer Sutton could not fathom Manuel Ink at all.

The evening had already fallen, and the island’s small lanes were lit with night lights.

At this time, the dinner hour had already arrived, and Manuel Ink’s figure had disappeared ahead.

Summer Sutton did not linger much on the road and quickly returned to the villa.

Upon entering the living room, in the adjacent dining room, servants were busily preparing dinner.

The castle, lifeless for more than ten days, seemed much livelier tonight with Manuel Ink’s arrival, more servants were out, the bustling sounds multiplied, and the long-silent house finally had some vitality.

Summer Sutton walked in and sat on the chair opposite Manuel Ink, lifting her face to look at him again, "How long do you plan to stay here?"

Manuel Ink paused in his action of pouring wine, seemingly reflecting on her question, then slowly raised his face, "No plans."
