"You bought so many things, why didn’t you call me?" Watt Bennet lightly scolded Summer Sutton, carrying several big bags in one hand while holding Summer’s hand with the other as they walked toward his car.

From beginning to end, his gaze never once paused on Old Master Walyon; on the way to the car, he didn’t even look back at him.

If this had happened in the past, the Old Master would’ve already been fuming, his cane would’ve gone flying at Watt.

But now, before Watt decides to return to the Walyon Family, the Old Master feels that this kind of distance is just right.

He knows Watt has his own plans, and the Old Master doesn’t want to disrupt them.

As long as he knows Watt’s identity, knows that he’s still living well in this world, that’s already enough for a grandfather.

He quietly watched the couple get in the car and drive off; even after their car had long disappeared, the Old Master’s gaze was still fixed in the direction they had gone.

Just kept looking, like no matter how long he watched, it wasn’t enough.

Only when the driver’s reminder sounded, "Old Master, shall we head off?"

Old Master Walyon came back to himself, steadied the expression on his face, and replied lightly, "Let’s go home."

Their car left the area near Scenic Garden after that.

On the way into the garden, Summer Sutton kept staring at Watt Bennet.

Her eyes didn’t blink, fixed on him, quietly observing his reactions.

Watt walked on his own from start to finish, his expression giving nothing away.

Only when they entered the house and he put down all the things Summer had bought did he finally say, in a mild tone, "Next time you’re shopping for this kind of stuff, wait for me and we’ll go together."

He just couldn’t stand the thought of her lugging so many things on her own.

And it was rush hour; for all he knew, the Old Master might have waited a long time just to get a car.

Over this little matter, he’d already chided her twice today.

This side of him made Summer’s heart feel warm and toasty.

She opened her arms and suddenly hugged him from behind, burying her face deep against his back. "Got it, Adrian."

Watt lowered his eyes to look at her hands, gently wrapping his fingers over the backs of them. He just let her hold him like that, not pulling her arms away or showing any intention of going off to do something else.

Instead it was Summer Sutton, clinging to him for so long that she eventually started to feel a bit self-conscious.

Afraid he’d start doing something before even having dinner, Summer hastily let go of him and, in a bright mood, headed to the kitchen. "I’ll go make us dinner!"

She’d bought a lot of groceries today, so she prepared quite a spread for dinner, all seafood.

It took her until eight-thirty in the evening to finish cooking, and by the time they’d eaten, it was already close to ten.

Then after a shower, without even doing anything else, it was already time for bed.

Watt showered before Summer. When Summer came out of the bathroom, he was in the study going through documents.

Summer had soaked in a petal bath for a long time, steeping herself in a rich floral fragrance. After she came out, while she was fixing her hair in front of the mirror, she suddenly thought of what the Old Master had said in the car on their way back that night.

She tidied her hair with a few quick motions, then gently opened the bathroom door. She poked her head into the bedroom and, not seeing Watt there, tiptoed her way toward the study.

When she pushed the door open, Watt was still busy.

His long fingertips were constantly turning pages, reading as he signed his name on them.

Summer Sutton quietly watched him from the side for a while, not disturbing him.

By the time Watt finished, it was already past eleven.
