Chapter 1396: Chapter 1496: This Is What I Call Loving You Deeply

When Watt Bennet caught sight of Summer Sutton quietly standing in the room, he froze for a moment.

His gaze swept up and down over her, then he calmly said to her, "Come here."

Summer Sutton obediently walked toward him.

Watt Bennet pulled her to sit on his lap, opened his arms and wrapped her up in them, lowered his head and buried his face in the hollow of her neck, inhaling the floral scent on her with a deep breath.

Ever since Scenic Garden was turned into a sea of Eva Noble flowers, Summer Sutton’s scent every day had become the fragrance of Eva’s flowers.

There were bunches of Eva Noble stuck in vases all over the villa, the essential oils were all extracted from the flowers in their own garden, and the petals she soaked in every night were freshly picked from the garden.

It was a wonderful scent, sweet and a little intoxicating.

Once Watt Bennet buried his face in the hollow of her neck, he couldn’t bring himself to move away.

Summer Sutton turned her head to look at him, her slender pale fingers twisting the corner of her nightgown. She seemed a little self-conscious. "When Grandpa drove me back today, he thought the plush toy I bought was for our baby."

Watt Bennet was taken aback, his body seeming to tense up just a little.

Summer Sutton paused, then added, "Grandpa is really looking forward to our child."

Watt Bennet slowly lifted his lowered face, his gaze landing on hers. It was like starlight was flowing in his eyes; they were shining a bit.

Summer Sutton didn’t have to spell out what she meant by saying this to him. Just one look, and Watt Bennet understood right away.

"I’m really looking forward to it too!" He scooped her up in his arms and strode off toward the bedroom with her...

...

Summer Sutton had picked up a new hobby lately: she researched recipes every day.

Her cooking skills weren’t exactly great. After marrying Adrian Walyon, she’d always been easy to feed, but recently she’d actually started seriously studying how to make things nutritious, how to make them tasty and so on.

Watt Bennet had always thought Summer Sutton was a total foodie—just order a full table of good food and she could finish it all herself, to the point she didn’t even need his help.

The Summer Sutton of the last couple of days, in Watt Bennet’s eyes, was as weird as weird could get.

Still, Summer Sutton was way too skinny. She was at least 166cm, but her weight was too low; eating more and replenishing herself was a good thing.

If the two of them wanted a child, Summer Sutton did need to eat more nutritious food and condition her body.

Condition her body?

The phrase slowly surfaced in Watt Bennet’s mind.

He mulled it over for a bit, then his gaze suddenly shifted to Summer Sutton, who was in the kitchen trying to make soup.

Had this girl been busy with all this lately to nourish her body for the child she and he wanted?

Watt Bennet quietly watched Summer Sutton like this for a while, then strode in and suddenly pulled her firmly into his arms.

"Baby..."

"Hm?" Summer Sutton turned her head, looking at him in surprise.

Watt Bennet’s lips curved slightly as he gave a faint smile. "Nothing, I’m just especially happy today."

He scooped up a spoonful of the soup she’d made, blew on it to cool it, and brought it to her lips, feeding her a spoonful. "Drink more. Even if you get as fat as a pig, no one’s going to dislike you. Go on, drink."

He had suddenly walked in and suddenly called her so gently, and Summer Sutton had actually been feeling pretty warmed by it.

But she hadn’t expected him to immediately follow up with that line; Summer Sutton’s expression changed on the spot.

"You’re the pig! Adrian Walyon, you pig!"

She shot him a glare, then turned back to keep tending to her soup.

Watt Bennet wasn’t the slightest bit annoyed by what she said; he was in such a good mood he even chuckled out loud.

"Isn’t it just because I love you so much? I like you no matter what you’re like—is that not allowed?"
