Chapter 1411 -1511: You’re the Only One I Have—Who Else Would I Treat Well?

Summer Sutton lifted her face, looking at him with a hint of astonishment.

Watt Bennet was still gazing at her, his eyes lingering on her face for a good two or three minutes. Then, she heard his deep, magnetic, and teasing voice, “Summer, while you were dining today, you kept thinking about me. Were you also thinking about doing those things?”

Adrian Walyon’s moves never followed the usual pace.

Summer Sutton imagined countless conversations between them as she walked downstairs, but she never expected him to say such a thing.

She was dumbfounded for a few seconds before she realized what he meant, her face flushing with embarrassment.

Did he interpret her longing for him tonight as having indecent thoughts about him?

What did he take her for?

“You’re overthinking! It’s your own impure thoughts!” Not wanting to continue acting weak with him, Summer Sutton shrank out of his embrace and attempted to walk away, but Watt Bennet held onto her tightly, refusing to let go.

“How am I impure? You didn’t think of me tonight?” Watt Bennet lazily retorted.

Summer Sutton indeed thought about him; during her meal, her mind was full of him.

However, the thoughts she harbored clearly differed from what he understood.

“What I thought was… was…” Summer Sutton tilted her neck, trying hard to argue for herself but felt unnecessary to explain further.

He was clearly just teasing her!

He obviously knew she was thinking of him in a different context than doing those things.

“And what was that?” Watt Bennet’s eyes were smiling, seemingly anticipating her response.

Summer Sutton lifted her face to look at him, her gaze suddenly deepened.

“I was thinking, it’s wonderful to have you!” Her voice was light, and though she had been flushed with anger earlier, she suddenly became serious.

Watt Bennet clearly hadn’t expected her sudden reply, stunned for a moment, remaining silent after Summer Sutton’s words, before tilting her head up and giving her a firm kiss on the lips.

As he let go, breathing enveloping her, his voice was rich and intoxicating, “You’re my only wife. If I’m not good to you, who will I be good to?”

Even when they were just a few years old, their families had arranged the marriage.

From a young age, Watt Bennet knew that this girl was his, the person he was meant to protect his whole life.

Bound by marriage, certificates secured, they were now tied together, and every day she would be by his side; she was the person he saw first in the morning and last at night. Through wind and rain, it was her beside him. Who would he spoil if not her?

Summer Sutton felt warmth blooming inside her heart as she reached up, tightly wrapping her arms around him.

Resting her head on his shoulder, hugging him tightly, Summer Sutton’s heart was full and brimming, “Adrian, meeting you is the luckiest thing in my life.”

Watt Bennet’s lips gently curved, his palm on her head as he smoothed her hair, “You’ll have more luck in the future.”

Summer Sutton trusted his words, knowing that all her luck was undoubtedly tied to him.

“Are you cold? Shall we go back to our room?” Watt Bennet’s hand moved to her back, brushing against the thin fabric she wore, his eyebrows furrowed.

Summer Sutton had come down precisely with intentions towards him; how could she dress warm?

Now, in the wintry setting, Watt Bennet’s mention made Summer Sutton shiver involuntarily.

Seeing her like this made Watt Bennet furrow his brows again.

Scooping her up, he carried her as they strode towards the stairs.
