Chapter 1418 -1518: A Face Resembling Adrian Walyon
She just wanted to meet the legendary executive CEO of the Sutton Clan Group.
Which assistant wouldn’t understand her intentions?
However, he didn’t dare to go against his superior’s habits.
The only thing he could do for Summer Sutton was to tell her that the President was currently in the company.
“Miss Sutton…” The assistant looked at Summer Sutton, very troubled.
Never mind.
Just a little assistant, Summer Sutton didn’t want to cause trouble for him.
“I won’t disturb him, don’t worry!” Patting the assistant’s shoulder, Summer Sutton returned to her desk and sat down.
However, once she was seated, she couldn’t stay still.
It was rare for him to be present. She had been in the company for over a month and had stumbled upon such an opportunity. If she didn’t see the executive CEO today, Summer Sutton would feel she let herself down.
The pen twirled between her fingers. Summer Sutton slowly pondered the assistant’s words, then stood up.
Carrying a stack of documents nonchalantly, she left the office, “I’ll take this material to the finance department first.”
The assistant didn’t think much of it and didn’t stop her.
Summer Sutton walked forward calmly, and once out of the assistant’s sight, she turned a corner and headed directly toward the conference room.
Everyone should have a great deal of respect for the executive CEO of the Sutton Clan Group. The assistant had told Summer Sutton that the President didn’t like being disturbed during meetings, and there wasn’t a single person in the hallway on her way to the conference room.
Perhaps they were afraid the sound of footsteps or passing conversations would disrupt the meeting!
Summer Sutton walked lightly, alone in the hallway leading to the conference room. As she passed the room, its door was tightly shut.
Summer Sutton didn’t disturb anyone; she merely pretended to walk by, slowing her pace as she passed.
One side of the conference room facing the hallway had large glass windows. From her angle, she could clearly see the inside.
As she passed by, Summer Sutton turned her head to look inside.
There were many people seated inside, including some senior executives of the company, and quite a few people from other subsidiaries had also arrived.
This meeting today was considered a large company meeting.
At the front of the conference room stood a man, his back to Summer Sutton, bending over and speaking to a senior executive beside him.
Summer Sutton came here to see clearly who this prominent person was.
Unable to help herself, her footsteps stopped, and Summer Sutton’s gaze landed on him, staring at him for a few more seconds.
The people in the conference room were still talking, and the glass was soundproof, so Summer Sutton couldn’t hear what was being said inside.
Probably about two minutes or so of talking to the senior executive beside him, the person inside straightened up, and his face slowly lifted.
Summer Sutton watched him without blinking, her heart suddenly skipping a beat.
The person was slightly turned sideways to her, and Summer Sutton could see only the contour of his face.
But just a silhouette deeply shook her.
Why does he look so much like… Adrian Walyon?
After seeing his profile curve, Summer Sutton was so shocked that she stood frozen outside the conference room, unable to snap back to reality for a long time.
Her brain couldn’t quite process it, and Summer Sutton wondered if she was seeing things; lately, every man she saw seemed to look like Adrian Walyon.
However, as she steadily watched the person inside the conference room for a long time, staring at the exceedingly realistic profile in her vision, Summer Sutton felt her mind in a whirl.
She might mistake someone else.
But, if it were Adrian Walyon, she could almost identify him with just one glance.
