He confessed very directly, without any defense or cover-up for himself, and he didn’t even shift the blame to others, taking full responsibility instead.

Watt’s eyes, previously unperturbed, trembled slightly after his words, clearly not expecting him to be so straightforward.

“Adrian Walyon, it’s time we settled things between us.” Ryan Walyon slowly stood up, his gaze suddenly turning cold, “In the Walyon Family, from childhood to adulthood, grandpa has always favored you. Even though on the surface he appeared to cherish me as well, whenever there was anything good, you were the first person he thought of; the only one he truly acknowledged was you. When we grew up, it was you who took over the company, and even when everyone believed you were gone, their hearts were still fixated on you! As long as you’re in the Walyon Family, grandpa’s heart can never be at ease. I orchestrated the plane accident, and I planned many incidents that followed. I’m done being your shadow, done with being trampled underfoot!”

He seemed somewhat agitated; a man usually gentle as jade from childhood seldom raising his voice, yet now, each word he spoke was slightly higher pitched.

As he spoke, his gaze abruptly shifted to Watt, and his tone followed suit, “But it’s okay, after tonight, everything will be resolved.”

Before Watt could react, a gun suddenly appeared in his hand, with the muzzle aimed at Watt’s forehead.

Watt just looked at him coldly from start to finish, his eyes remained devoid of any fluctuation.

“Any last wishes you’d like to share, or anything you’d like me to help accomplish? Twenty years of brotherhood, I’ll take care of everything after you’re gone.” Moving slowly towards Watt, Ryan Walyon’s gaze was as cold as an ancient well.

Watt continued to just look at him, showing no panic nor any trace of fear on his face.

“I’ll take care of Summer as well,” Ryan Walyon knew Adrian Walyon well; any time, the one person Adrian would be concerned about would likely be Summer Sutton.

Mentioning Summer Sutton finally brought a flicker to Watt’s face, but the change wasn’t significant.

“Summer doesn’t need you to take care of her.” Slowly, he suddenly stood up, “She’s got me!”

Ryan Walyon hadn’t yet reacted to the meaning behind his words before Watt swiftly lifted a leg and kicked the gun from Ryan’s hand.

Ryan reacted quickly, bending down skillfully to retrieve it, only for Watt to snatch it first.

Taking two steps back, with the gun now aimed at Ryan, Watt’s expression chilled like shattered ice, “You truly disappoint me.”

“So what?” Ryan Walyon was evidently prepared for this; even with a gun aimed at his head, his expression was not even slightly flustered.

From outside the room, a series of footsteps could be heard, and at this moment, the door was forcefully kicked open.

Outside stood dozens of men in black suits holding guns, collectively aiming their weapons at Watt.

“Is this your preparation for tonight?” Watt glanced casually at the group at the door, then turned his gaze back to Ryan.

“I admire your courage, knowing everything, yet daring to come to the appointment,” Ryan Walyon’s lips curled slightly into a cold smile.

“Do you think my shooting is inaccurate? If I can’t walk out of here, aren’t you afraid you won’t either?” Watt glared at him, sarcastically cold.

Ryan Walyon laughed again at his words, his smile somewhat bitter.

A man burdened with so many sins, what is there left to fear?
